According to the NJAC website:
"A Lions' win next week at Kean will give TCNJ the NJAC championship outright. A Kean victory will result in a split NJAC Championship between TCNJ and Cortland..."

Gotta love a conference that won't decide a championship based on head-to-head. By all means, split the title when one team has already beaten the other 30-0. It will be interesting to see if anybody from TCNJ is given a rest in advance of the playoffs — or will the outright NJAC championship be the #1 goal.

I'm certainly biased, but that really is a crock. Let's just beat Kean and make it a non issue.

Nice write up.  k+

Thanks TGP.  I felt I owed them something.  I haven't done a good job this year.  Will regroup with a fresh design and a lot more highlights in the off season.

Just got a chance to read Projecting The Playoffs and there is a lot of support for Montclair. I was very happy to read that. During most of the Post's discussions, Montclair appears to be left out. I personally thought they had a chance for the dance and then bacically gave up until I read Projecting the Playoffs. IMHO you can make a good case for both Montclair and Hobart. From what I have read so far, the outcome of Montclair / W.Conn and Hobart / Rochester may well tell the story. In any event it will lead up to a great Saturday of Football. That being said.

It's nice the Montclair fans on the blog think Montclair should get in but keep in mind they aren't even in the regional rankings right now. Hard to project them in based on that.

I understand where you are coming from, but for some reason the NCAA seems to overlook Montclair. We are as good or better then the 7-2 teams listed. Stregnth of schedule etc. I guess you can't fight city hall.

Montclair does have one good win, that's true. But you're stuck behind Cortland.

Another good game by the RedHawks.....ahhhhhh and now its time to pray, Ithaca beat Cortland so now what??!! we deserve to be there... we defeated two top then teams and we are the only team to beat Wesley #6 in the Country at home the past two years....MSU is playing great ball right now and if given the opportunity I really think they can run the table in the region....    If they don't make it...OUTSTANDING SEASON  BY THE MONTCLAIR STATE UNIVERSITY REDHAWKS.... Coach G, Coach O, Coach Agresta, Coach Pacifico, Uncle Al Cappelo, Skee, Coach Mad Dog Cierri..... OUTSTANDING JOB !!!!!!!!! this is the most seniors we have had on a team in a long time and i think it all starts with the coaches..... having the players buy into the system of what it means to be a student athlete!!!!!...GO REDHAWKS!!!! 8-2 NOT BAD BOYS NOT BAD AT ALL
All the seniors you guys should be very proud you represented the school, the team and all who have come before you extremely well!!!!  ;D.............To the East Region if these MSU boys get, their going to be a real problem!!!   Keith fire Cracker Migs...congrats on the win moose

MSUBIRDGANG,

Nice talking to you today. Well, the Mighty Red Hawks did what they had to do : Montclair 31  W.Conn 6. We won big and I hope the NCAA Selection Committee gives us a chance to dance. You can also make a case for Hobart and Ithaca. Montclair has the better strength of schedule, and like my friend said we beat Wesley at home and nobody has done that for the past 2 years and we beat the # 9 team at the time, in the country. That being said we deserve to go to the dance. It's now out of our hands and it's time to wait for ESPNU at 11:30AM tomorrow.

I would like to thank the Montclair State Football team for a very exciting season this year. Players, coaches, parents and fans.

I dont see anyway they take the third place NJAC team.  Ithaca might not deserve it because they lost to Hartwick. Montclair might not deserve it because they lost to Cortland.....

I might be a homer, but IC looks better than Montclair with the Cortland and Springfield scores.....

I agree.  I think there is less than a 5 percent chance that MSU gets in.  Ithaca would get in over them, in my opinion (But I don't think Ithaca will get in either).

If I were setting the East Bracket, here is what I would do :

Wesley Bracket

1. Wesley---You may say a South team, but really an East team.
2. Fisher
3. RPI
4. Curry
5. TCNJ
6. Widner
7. Hartwick
8. Montclair --- We deserve the invite and a great re-match.

The winner could easially go to the Stagg Bowl, IMHO.
