If I were setting the East Bracket, here is what I would do :

Wesley Bracket

1. Wesley---You may say a South team, but really an East team.
2. Fisher
3. RPI
4. Curry
5. TCNJ
6. Widner
7. Hartwick
8. Montclair --- We deserve the invite and a great re-match.

The winner could easially go to the Stagg Bowl, IMHO.

Are you drunk???  Come on now.  That's just absurd.

When D3 Football made their first playoff projections they had Salisbury in the bracket. Wesley, I would think is under 500 miles and would make the bracket interesting, and no I'm not drunk, just trying to be creative.

I'm sorry Dave.  You know I love you man, but no way Montclair is getting in.  43-13 against Cortland, the committee will not look past that.  Plus, the only big win out of conference is Wesley.  Springfield was mediocre this year, and Wilkes was too.

I also disagree with you regarding the NCAA Championships.  The only team in this bracket with a remote chance of giving Mt Union or Whitewater a game is Fisher, and they are not quite as powerful as they were last season.  For my money, this is a year of parity in the East.  No big super power to fear, and no one to bank on outside of region.

I hope someone steps up, but I will be amazed if they do.

I wasn't saying that the Wesley pick was absurd, I was saying that the winner of Wesley/Montclair could  easily go to the Stagg.  It's been shown many times in the last few years that neither the East nor Wesley performs too well in the National Semifinals when it comes to notching one in the win column... that's all.

Only if our champ doesn't play Mount Union and gets the West rep to travel to their place.

Or South.  If East goes North I don't think they have shot.

I just assumed that since North and West are the stronger regions and East and South the "weaker" ones, that they wouldn't match the semis up as North-West and East-South.

Dan,

Yes I'm a homer with Montclair. I think they deserve it as much as probably the pick will be Hobart by the NCAA. Have you seen Wesley this year? I have and they are good. By what everyone says that Fisher has the best chance, and they are a real good team, wouldn't it be nice to see a Wesley - Fisher East Final? Watch out for my Red Hawks if they get in. ;)

I don't understand why our pair of Montclair fans just can't accept the fact that they took a 30-point beating by Cortland, who in turn lost by 23 to Ithaca (and also lost to Brockport).

I think Montclair @ Ithaca in ECACs might be a nice idea.

You are correct, we sucked the second half against Cortland. Can't deny it. We also beat some top ranked teams. As a fan, I'm hoping, but I also understand reality and it will probably be an ECAC bid. That is what this is all about, having some fun, but Monday we all have to go to work.

Murphy's Law certainly applied to the Profs season this year.  Hopefully the offseason will be fruitful and successful for Rowan.  Congrats to the seniors... three straight NJAC titles, three straight playoff apperances, two straight final four appearances, and two Lambert Awards is a great accomplishment.

Jeez did TCNJ shoot themselves in the foot by crapping the bed against Kean.  Looks like the NJAC is getting harder to shoot through unblemished.  TCNJ lost the number #1 seed.  I could see them winning the East at home.  On the road, I'm not so sure.

Honestly I don't see the East winner beating any of the other regions..  My thoughts are that it will be Fisher, Mount, UW-Whitewater, and Mary Hardin-Baylor .  I don't think any of those 3 other teams would be beaten by Fisher (or any other eastern team, for that matter..)  I hope I'm wrong but it seems like a sad truth at this point!

Rowan ends the 2007 season with a record of 4-6.  I know, every loss by less than a td or we would be 10-0.  But still 4-6 just plain stinks!  Maybe its  time for a change at Rowan.  You would have to go back in history a very long time to find a 4 win Rowan team.  What a shame.  It seems like the only thing that has kept Rowan going over the last few years was simply its own reputation as a winning program.  That was what brought the talent in!!  It should be a very interesting next couple of years.  Heres hoping for a major turn around.  I would say to give Hendricks a shot, but he also needs some new faces to run the offense.

You thought it, I said it!
