Thanks JT.

As I mentioned to Pat in another thread, that crop he chose is actually out of focus.  The focus is on Juvan (not pictured in the crop), and I am using a shallow depth of field due to the poor lighting.  But it is a cool action shot and I can see why he went with it.

I'm hoping to scrape up the cash for another upgrade.  I don't have a low enough f stop for night games and I want better than 3 fps.

Hey all you Red Hawk Fans, one more game at Sam Mills Field this year !!!

It was nice that we got the ECAC bid. The seniors get one more game, the rest of the team gets some playoff experience and should help in recruiting.

Albright is a tough team. They will not let down. I know this was a while back when I saw them come to Wesley in 2001 for an ECAC and Wesley sort of sleplt and Albright just kept scoring. When Wesley woke up it was a little too late. Be ready for a tough game.

Anyone planning to tailgate at the Train Station before the game?

110 %  for  60  minutes  and  we  go  9-2.  A nice way to build for 2008.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

I would probably go but it looks like the Stalker family will be heading to Bethlehem to catch the new Coach Browns second game at Muhlenbergs tournament this weekend.

I like to talk about Rowan U. football. You had to beleive this was coming with the turnover of coaches. The OC has ran enough assistant coaches out to hurt the program. To  name a few John Petitt, Felton Jones, Frank Law etc. Back in 2002 the OC was called the "Wizard" now it comes back to haunt him. Yes there has been injuries in the past and they overcome. The OC in his first year was going to lose his job but with the suggestion of some assistants they went to the no-huddle and the rest was history. If the HC would wake up and evaluate his OC like the OC evaluated the staff and ran offthe guys mentioned above. Maybe he would bring some new ideas to go with the spread. The term used to be Ice Hockey on grass. Constant Blurring of the defense, putting the defense on its heels. Maybe the OC should mend some fences and get some help and refresh ideas.

Jay,

Change is obviously needed.  My question is, How do you take a power house in division 3 with no other competion for division three athletes in south jersey and go 4-6 to the njac bottom feeder.  I'm just not convinced that Rowan has a few of the right leaders  to gain back the dominance we once had.  The current staff is capable to get Rowan back to the old tradition of 5-5 records.

No change at Rowan=Montclair/TCNJ frontrunners

Someone told me that Wesley and Rutgers walk-ons have hurt recruiting.  Schiano's getting a lot of borderline kids to buy in.

Add in the cost to go to a NJ state school now and some families may think it is worth going to private school for not much more per year, especially since most private schools do a much better job helping students find aid.

Also Rowan has raised their admission standards which can hurt some.

Yea bottom line is that the coach is probably 90% of it and facilities being the other 10%. (after the school of course)  There is enough football talent in NJ and that area to have a national championship football team.  Hell, there is enough talent in that area to make Ithaca college a national championship football team.

This came from a B&G 'er so I wouldn't say it doesn't have some validity.  The one thing I've noticed is the transfer talent hasn't been of the usual caliber.

KS,

Also the administration doesn't seem in rush to upgrade the facilities.  They've also cut the coaching staff.

Actually, I think it is great had a crappy season, many of you have gotten a little spoiled and needed this.  You have a team that seems like it is half freshman and sophs and you want to fire everybody after a bad year.  Imagine if NJCU had fired coach Brown 10 years ago for a couple of seasons barely over .500.

Possibly the AD needs to grow and or regrow some nads and stand up to the administration?

You can think big or you can think small.  You are a Jersey City fan so I understand your stance. ;D
