JT,
Tough game yesterday, but I knew going in that unless TCNJ could sustain a few drives to give the defense a rest it was going to be an impossible situation. Add in the loss of their #1 receiver last week and I expected an ugly game. Still, great year from a team I didn't expect to reach .500 this year.

Then there are the posters from bucolic Alliance. I only hope that the prototypical "Italian thugs" who were taught by the "joke of a coaching staff" made their cheap shots count because if the players in purple were as yappy and low rent in victory as the posters who spewed some of the gems above, they certainly deserved a shot or two in the chops.

Why does the movie "All the right moves" with a young Tom Cruise pop into my head everytime I ruminate on MUC and Alliance? ;)

Remember That 70's Show which briefly spun off That 80's Show.  Well the greater Canton area could have been most of the set locations for That 80's Show.

And the automatic door to the Wal Mart might as well have been a truck scale.

Wow, nice work gentlemen.  We've gone from not being able to beat MUC on the field to insulting the town and surrounding area.  Well done.
They should have practiced harder.

I'm not trying to insult anyone after a game like that and have most certainly steered clear of the "Italian thugs" references and would not refer to a college coaching staff as a "joke."  It just seems to me that stooping down to insult the town seems like sour grapes to me.
They should have practiced harder.

Just sayin that unless raiderfan is from Canton, there are probably 5-10 Canton type cities in NJ that he could have jabbed back with!

Hey Ric nice to see you....I haven't ventured over to the north board in some time....hope all is well...

phil

Ric,
C'mon, we even had to endure insults to ethnic groups, individual players and the coaching staff in the OAC room – AFTER a 59-7 loss. You continue to have a couple idiots blame TCNJ kids, parents and coaches for the behavior of the "Ampipe five" (forgive yet another oblique "All the Right Moves" reference). While I now know that the overwhelming group of posters from MUC are terrific guys you'd want to sit down a few brewskis with, you obviously have a small crew in the stands whom could use a promotion to the Saturday afternoon shift at the local pizzeria so they'd be out of everyone's way.

BTW, the kid who gave the one gun salute to MUC's fans (Hey.......did anybody notice #11 on the sidelines for TCNJ?
He looked like the prototypical "Jersey thug".)
walked on as a kicker and was the South Jersey shot put champ, District wrestling champ and ten letter winner in high school. My thinking is that he probably didn't buy the excuse that the MUC fans were cheering the quality of his punt, especially since I saw a post on your side of the fence admitting he was singled out. My question to you – and it's a rhetorical one as I've seen your posts yesterday – is should any kid have to endure this nonsense on the sidelines and be verbally abused while losing by 52 points? Should we be surprised at the result? Should we really have to defend any negative Ohio references at this point?

Knightstalker

Besides no state gets insulted more than NJ, we learn how to not be so sensitive to the comments.

Ric,

Just defending our own.  The ethnic slurs posted in the OAC room were a little much, especially by posters who are generally viewed as credible people.  So I left a couple of jokes for the NJAC'ers here.  I didn't bring it back to the OAC board.

Most OAC'ers and people around Alliance are pretty cool.  My family comes from the Western PA and Ohio area.  So I'm also making fun of some my extended family members.  Everytime I go to a family reunion, I come home with tons of funny material.  Meanwhile I'm sure they tell jokes about me when they go home.

PBR...

exactly phil unfortunately sports in general pro/college and all divisions of college have a small percentage of fans that ruin it for everyone....unfortunately it has moved well past the boo'ing and has taken on to wearing shirts and chanting multiple slurs hurled at opposing teams and fans/parents...pbr has to admit some of the stuff he has seen is way over the top lately...at the div I level you literally take your life into your own hands walking into an opposing teams stadium past tailgates wearing your visiting team colors...slowly but surely it seems to be funneling down to all levels of college football...but again it usually is a very small percentage of people but still ruins the atmosphere for everyone.

Ric

JT no harm no foul, I know you to be a pretty nice guy.  Bman, hey there and thanks for asking! I am doing great aside from hearing my oldest will be going to Iraq for 17 months early next year.  That's scary.  Hope all is well in your part of the world.
