...insertion happened after I was gassed and dreaming of a team full of playmates wearing TCNJ uni's stomping MUC's meanies.

Removal was at the hands of a Wayan Bros. look-alike nurse with a mean streak to match her looks. I still cringe at the thought.

+k to protect karma.  Get well soon.

KC Keeler had a big win Saterday as Deleware upset #1 ranked N. Iowa......
Helps to have one of the best college QB's in the country.  If KC wins another title, the MUC'ers in the OAC will bitch.  They really hate the dood, even though Mount has a 3-1 record against Keeler.

JT,

I heard there might be changes in the Rowan staff? If this is true what changes are we looking at. Is HC bringing in friend Mike Clark to run the offense?

An interesting little blurb from uscho.com, the main college hockey website.  This is from the DII-DIII section, coming at the end of the weekly column for the SUNYAC.  A few interesting things about the NJAC; apparently he's not a fan:

"On The Periphery

The BCS is sure taking a bashing this year. However, it's not the only
entity in college football that is messed up.

Take the Division III league known as the New Jersey Athletic
Conference. Now, you would think with the name New Jersey
Athletic Conference, the teams would all be from New Jersey.

You would be wrong. In fact, starting next year when two schools join
the conference to make it 10 teams, the schools from the Garden State
don't even make up more than half.

That's right, only five teams in a 10 team New Jersey Athletic
Conference are actually from New Jersey — College of New Jersey, Kean,
Montclair State, Rowan, and William Patterson.

Four of the remaining five teams are the four Division III SUNY schools
that field a football team — Brockport, Buffalo State, Cortland, and
Morrisville. The final school is Western Connecticut.

So, why is it called the New Jersey Athletic Conference when just
as many schools are not from New Jersey as are? Probably the same
reason the BCS left Missouri out in the cold.

When it comes to college football, one has to wonder whether it's being
run by folks from institutions of higher learning. "

jaypeter,
Of course, I'm sure he knows that this is only for football and just about every other intercollegiate sport in which the NJAC participates is represented by up to ten New Jersey Schools. The problem is that there are only 5 NJAC schools with football programs, and over the years it's become increasingly difficult for TCNJ, Rowan and Montclair to schedule out of conference games. This is the best solution for all involved unless Brockport and Cortland will be accepted with open arms into the LL or E8 — which is about as likely as Bethel scoring the first 4 touchdowns tomorrow!

I love when half-wits use half the information they have on hand to try to justify their half-arsed point. A SUNYAC hockey know-it-all commenting on NJAC football. Brilliant! He also spelled "Paterson" wrong.

Who cares about a conference name anyway?

This is no different than The Big 10 having more than 10 members, Cincinatti and Louisville being in The Big East, Florida State being in the Atlantic Coast Conference despite being on the Gulf Coast, or the Empire 8 including schools from Massachussetts, Vermont and, coming to a theatre near you, Pennsylvania despite being named for the Empire State.

You expect anyone to recognize the name of a founding father and one of the signers of the constitution?

In the beginning of the section I copied, he does say that he is talking about football.  I don't, however, know if he realizes that for other sports, it is different.  Based on his argument, the fact that it's different for football would probably only re-inforce his impressions that the "BCS isn't the only thing that's wrong with college football."

Knightstalker

I guess that teams from neighboring states joining an established that already had an AQ for football to give themselves access to the D-III playoffs and a shot at the championship is something that is wrong with college football.

At its peak Ramapo and Jersey City were in the league too, giving them seven New Jersey teams with Kean, William Paterson, Montclair St, New Jersey, and Rowan.  Ramapo dropped football in 1990 and Jersey City in 2003.  Had those teams remained the NJAC would have had been awarded an AQ during the playoff expansion solely with NJ schools.

I've been to media day the past few three years.  I've been told that if the NY (and West Conn) schools demonstrate a long term commitment to the league, a name change may happen.

I've recommended a couple of names: Little East Football Conference, Tri State Football Conference.  I like Tri State the best as all teams are public institutions.

Today let us remember our Soldiers and Sailors who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor and those who survived the attack in our prayers and thoughts.
