If this board doesn't come to life after today, I guess it never will.

Today the D3 Football Pre-Season rankings are out :

Nice showing for the NJAC - Cortland (22), TCNJ (27), Montclair (34) and Rowan (39)

Nice showing for the East - Fisher (10), Ithaca (18), Cortland (22), Curry (26), TCNJ (27), Montclair (34), RPI (37), Rowan (39), Albright (41), Hartwick (42), Hobart (45),
Del Val (46).

I think today is NJAC Media Day. Has anybody heard anything?

I would sure like to hear about the Montclair recruits, and where we stand in the NJAC as voted by the coaches. I predicted earlier, Cort, MSU / TCNJ tied for #2. Let's see how that worked out and also my 1 thru 10.

Is there still any interest in the Pick-E'M this year?

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, getting antsy. ;) Read the Record and they talk about (5) vying for the starting QB. The kid from Rutgers still seems to be in play. What say you? When will we have the Red and White scrimage and what is the date for the Lackawana scrimage? My picks on June 29th were not to far off. See ya soon !!!

Hey...found this article on Red Hawk QB situation:

http://www.northjersey.com/sports/williampaterson/26325244.html

Nice to see some football chat finally.  Not much news out of Cortland to share.  Didn't see any press.  Anxious to see the incoming class and to see if the transfer QB from Colgate (Pitcher) will challenge returning sr. Miles.

I kinda like the kid, Cyburt, strong arm pretty accurate, but I think the only thing that may hold him back is the communication of the offensive plays. IMHO.

Yes, that's an official category in the NJAC preseason poll.

I think that last year it may have been Kean as the dark horse. In any event, Brockport is a good choice. They sometimes lay an egg, but they are a tough, well coached team that could knock anyone off on a given day. We will have our hands full when they come to Sam Mills Field for our 3rd game. Hopefully we can be 3-0 after 3 games. Where are the Montclait faithful besides catchball :o

Meant to say Palmer, not Cyburt, Palmer has been in the system going on 3 yrs, as stated earlier strong arm and pretty accurate. haven't heard much about the walk-on from Rutgers. we'll see what happens in camp, can't wait to get started.

Here's the Red Hawk prospectus for anyone interested. !

http://www.montclair.edu/Athletics/sports/football/Football%20Prospectus%202008.pdf

I saw this last week, but no real info on the new blood coming in. It's the old NJAC cloak and dagger stuff. Nobody usually releases rosters until they are in camp and signed in. All hush, hush stuff.

This board is really dead, we could sure use some activity.

Do you know when the Red & White scrimage will be and the Lackawana scrimage?

Hope you are having a good summer and see you soon.
