I don't know if you can say Kean rolled when they needed to come back from a 17-10 4th quarter deficit — score the go ahead TD with under 3 minutes left — and score a touchdown on the last play of the game via a 62 yard interception return.

More like a game TCNJ blew than one Kean rolled on.

Glad to see that you still have a few arrows in your quiver. ;)

Caz,
Kingston is currently the spot for me right now.  You a Rondout guy?   Talking about kickers.....Monroe's kid, Boyle hit his 65th consecutive PAT last night against us in a romp.  Should be a great MSG game in 2 weeks when Newburgh plays Monroe.

That is correct although I don't live in the area anymore.  I don't really follow local HS football anymore but it doesn't surprise me that NFA and M-W are still the class of the region.

Cortland seems to be rolling along.

Nice to see some section IX guys on the boards.  I'm from Goshen, so while not in the same league as M-V, NFA and Newburgh we still had our moments.  My junior year we made it to the state semis at Dietz falling behind in the third quarter to the eventual state champs.  Good times...
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Dave - I know I don't get on here enough (Understatement) but it is nice to see you STILL can't give KEAN credit.  I went to the game last night and it was a great football game, a classic NJAC battle for 60 minutes - Like you always say.
Some things never change!  Instead of TCNJ blowing it - how about this 2008 Kean team taking care of business the way MSU has had to come back and fight the last 2 weeks (against Brock/WPU) for 60 MINUTES (2nd time using your line)! Obviously Kean is no longer the Kean of before - give credit all mighty Rams where credit is due!
Nice to see - same ole Dave! ;D

YoungCougar

Sorry Dave - meant for my good ole pal Phil!
Meant Phil not dave/Rams - sorry.  Thats what I get for not getting on here enough!
Good Luck to MSU against Cortland

YoungCougar,

Don't be such a stranger to the board. I watched the game on the computer Kean vs TCNJ, but the stats really sucked. The problem with Kean is that nobody supports them. When they win a few of you come out, and when they lose you disappear. Please stay in contact with the board. We can talk before the game, but at the end we still have to go to work on Monday. I talked to a group of Kean players before the WP game today and they were nice kids. I know there is no love lost between MSU and MSU South. I hop[e the NJAC comes down to the last game of the year.

;)  Dave - I wish I could.  It just seems like there is not enough time in the day.  And every thing else becomes a priority.  I had the mindset to stayed involved with my pre season picks and it took my almost 7 weeks to post again.  LOL.
There is absolutely no question the make up of Kean players is different than the old Kean.  It is a blessing to finally see that.
Go get Cortland!

X coaches at Kingston?  Ellenville Grad here

TCNJ home games are broadcast on wtsr.org. It beats the heck out of live stats.

Why would I (a TCNJ fan) give Kean credit? Another poster said Kean "rolled". I simply pointed out what actually happened in the game based on what I heard on the broadcast. If you say Kean just "got the job done" and I say TCNJ let one get away late... what does it matter? What Kean did NOT do is roll over TCNJ.

Cortland did not look particularly sharp today.  It was great to see guaragno back.  He was an immediate contributor.  Wiley had a great day defensively with 3.5 tackles for loss.  Andrew Guliano was once again the workhorse offensively but overall, I think this was possibly our worst game.  Miles continues to impress statistically but didn't appear real sharp today.   I thought Buff St. had a pretty good first half but was not particulary effective 2nd half.   They struggled for consistency and used 3 QBs.
I must say that Cortland does appear to get stronger as the game goes on but all in all, this was not a pretty game.  Should be tough game Saturday as Montclair brings a tough defense.  Cortland will have to play much better offensively.  If Montclair can find some semblance of an offense and take advantage of our banged up secondary,  they could find themselves atop of the leaderboard.  I suspect Cortland will work pretty hard this week and step it up a notch on Sat.

I agree Cland.  I'm going to take a look through the box scores the next few days to see if I can demonstrate statistically what I am seeing on the field.  Cortland hasn't pressured the quarterback this season the way they have in the past, and that is putting more pressure on the secondary.  Offensively the team appeared out of sync.  Miles was sacked 4 times by a winless team, and we recovered 2 of our own fumbles which led to touchdowns.

That stated, I think we will come out with our best game for Montclair.

It's a long season.  Away games at West Conn and TCNJ both look particularly dangerous.  The championship NJAC team will probably have 1 loss and it will come down to tie-breakers again.

Dan,

Should be an interesting game this Sat. I think we may have found a QB. Decent arm, mobile, and good game presence (4th and 5 with :30 and down 13-7). We have played 16 quarters and only 1 quarter with a semi-efficient "O". This will be a big game for both teams. I'm pondering the Pick-Em's, Montclair +7.5 / 10.5. See you in Cortland on Sat. Cortland a definite favorite.

Should be a solid measuring stick for the winning team.  Cortland has posted wins against  4-1 Kean and 3-1 Rowan squads,...but also 2 winless teams in Morrisville and Buff State.  I am not sure of Montclair's opponents records but we will have 2 winning programs squaring off with perfect records.   Unfortunately I will be unable to listen to the game as I will be at the low octane Army/Central Michigan game at Michie Stadium.
Taste It!

The roster limit has nothing to do with choice. It's a matter of money.
Those 60 to 75 extra players bring in a lot of money! Like it or not that's the way it is.

It supports a lot of other sports at Wesley. And there is no guarantee that they would be invited to the NJAC any way. But the real problem is teams that just won't play them. I think they played a NJAC team every year from 95 until the expanded schedule for the NJAC. So no problem with the NJAC   But I am sure more things will change the E8 changes
