Ok...maybe not hate, but not one of my favorites.  I do have some regard for them as they are a state school.  I have a bias towards state schools except when the D3 guys play Cortland.  Also am a universal D 1 state school fan....Penn State, Florida State, Rutgers, Okla. State, Iowa State,etc... "Birds of a feather flock together"

I'm amazed at the lack of discussion on the Montclair - Rowan game this Saturday. What happened to JT, Dr.xGSC, profsball, rowanball92 and the others. It's just not the same. The loser of this game is out of the playoffs. It doesn't get any bigger and yet everyone is quieter then a church mouse.

If you look at the numbers this game is basically a pick-em and thats why I gave Montclair a -3.5 for home field. I give the edge on "D" to Montclair and Montclair has been improving on "O" every game. By the numbers Rowan has an edge on "O" but with our "O" getting better every week, I feel confident. We must be intense the entire game. We can't come out the second half soft like we did against W.Conn and put it in gear again. I think the final will be Montclair-24  Rowan-20.

Still around, just really busy.  If QB Frank Wilczynski rushes for at least 75 yards and throws for about 150 yards or more, Rowan wins.

There's a game this weekend?

I'll just root for a Rowan victory followed by a loss to TCNJ — 'cause that's the kinda guy I am!

Montclair gets a nice turnout at the games; I honestly don't believe that enough of the student bodies are aware of D3football.com or the post patterns forum which is unfortunate. Regardless the game still has to be played in what is going to be an old fashion slug fest between these two rivaled schools and I can't wait to see it!!!! Rowan is going to get shut down!!!! Our Defense comes to play ever week, Coach Agresta is the best in the bizz, and the D plays for him, would take a bullet if he asked....If this QB thinks he is going to run our D hahah, wow going to be a long day.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the odd mention of Iowa state cyclones.  NC State, Oregon State, Washington State, Arizona State... any of those sound better than Iowa state... lol

You must love state schools to make mention of Iowa State.  My wrestling background brought that school to mind as it was the home of the one and only Dan Gable.

JT - is this the least talked about one loss Rowan team in years? on the down side they couldn't beat Cortland, and I really didn't like their 10 point win vs a mediocre NEFC team... but it's still Rowan. Everyone must be waiting for the results of the Montclair game.

Its a good team.  If Cortland was as good as Rowan was going to get, they'd have more losses by now.   With 55 new players, they've improved greatly since week #1.  Great speed on defense and a QB that is very fast and runs like a RB/WR once he breaks through the line.  He's got a good arm.  He's on when he spreads the ball around to many.  He's off when only a few are getting the ball.

RB's are big and strong, decent but not great speed.  If Rowan can avoid giving up the big play and stay close to MSU in time of possession, the Profs will win.

Its gonna be a tough, hard hitting game.  The MSU LB Hunt is a beast and an AA candidate.  Hopefully it doesn't rain.  I'm planning to be there taking pics.

We are ready to rumble tomorrow against the Prof's...O and D is firing on all cylinders see ya at the game !!  Going to watch the soccer team tonite come back and relax. Up early for the morning butterfly jog and then ready to go.

I heard a rumor about ESPN's college gameday heading to Cortland next week.  Anyone else hear of this?  I know last year they went to Williams for a D3 clash.  I would love to see Corso put on a Bombers helmet amid the rabid Cstate crowd!

Pat Coleman

I've heard that rumor and a rumor they will go to another rivalry game but nothing solid either way.

We beat MontEClair 25 years ago 16-7. Let HISTORY repeat itself. MSU has a tendency of choking on the big one when playing at home in a meaningful game. I am sure the RU staff will have a few tricks up their sleeves.
