The change of the conference name might be possible.  If the NY schools prove that they are in it for the long haul, it could happen.  The powers that be have said so.

Pat Coleman

Wouldn't you want at least one of them to join the conference for all sports before changing the name of the conference for all sports?

Unless it would a football only conference administered by the NJAC but with a unique name.

Word is that if it happened it would be football only.

for the love of the game

Kean - 21      Montclair - 17

Tough day as a Red Hawk fan. A major disappointment. Winning 17-0 and letting Kean score near the end of the first half, not so bad. 17-7 at half. Kean receives to start the half and we hold. Then 3and out for the balance of the way. I think we threw for (5) interceptions and still had a chance to win at the end, but there came the 5th interception. Our (2) TD's were the result of our "D" and it seemed that Kean knew where we were running every time. Our "D" is awsome, but they can not win the game. You need some "O". We needed to make a QB change and we did not. Garrett out coached Giancola the second half. I gesss better to lose now then to embarrase ourselves in the NCAA's. Hope we can get an ECAC bid and give the Seniors something.  It was a great run and too bad it had to end. Thank you Red Hawks for a very entertaining season and hope to see everyone one more time at an ECAC game.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Same thing Kean did to TCNJ last game of the regular season in '07. One of these years the Cougars might actually string a few quality wins together!

Terrible loss yesterday, felt bad for all of our seniors, but looks like were going to Ithaca next Saturday. QB change ? I as well as others agree 100%, we need someone (Boysan)who can move under pressure and not only look at one receiver. Well, can't cry over spilt milk.

Longtime reader, first-time poster (On this board anyway)

I don't know much about the NJAC this season. I know Cortland didn't give us much to go on relative to your conference strength...

That being said, this would be an interesting matchup of Montclair/IC. Seems like Montclair has a good defense, but after watching Cortland, I've got to wonder if maybe the offenses in the NJAC are sub-par as a whole. Care to shed some light on that?

I'm not really sold on an offense held to 17 points or less seven times in a season, especially given that IC is dropping 43 and 35 points a game on people with their backups playing. I don't know if Montclair has the firepower to stick with IC, especially up in Butterfield.

Anyone got thoughts?
