None of the other conferences can claim as much depth as the NJAC.  In the past 5 or so seasons, several of its members have had some solid seasons.  Cortland, Montclair, Rowan, Brockport, and TCNJ have all had NCAA appearances or solid runs.  Even West Conn was tough in the FFC or whatever it was that they belonged to.   E8's power players are Fisher (recently), IC (the measuring stick), and Springfield (hot and cold).  Alfred would be like our Kean...the pesky guy you can't sleep on.  The LL has 3 tough teams with RPI, Union, and Hobart.  In the NJAC every game is a Game and in the end it may take its toll.  Thats still no excuse to blow a non league game but that's just one guy's opinion.

maAggie,
Spoken like a person who's conference hasn't won an NCAA playoff game since 2006 — only to lose to Rowan in the next round.

Pat yourself on your back all you want, but Kean still had 3 NJAC losses before they were "blown out" and "run rough-shod over" in a 16-7 DVC "rout". Let me know who the MAC plays in the NCAA tourney this week!

clandfan,
I don't know if the ten team conference was wise or not — or if the addition of the extra teams provided insurance should a few bolt towards another conference — but the NJAC needed to expand. One year the scheduling dilemmas became so bad that Montclair proposed playing Rowan twice during the regular season. Teams like Widener and Salisbury avoided the NJAC like the plague. The current situation is definitely preferable to having multiple bye weeks with an 8 game schedule.

I can't disagree.  I like the AQ and insurance if someone bolts (Morrisville??).  I guess there are more advantages and have to take the bad (if there really is one) with the good.

Was at montclair game. The diffrence was Kelly, Albright's QB for sure. He picked apart the MSU D and opened up the run.Why does MSU run that old style I formation offence with all that speed and size they have. They should be running some spread or read option I would think.Hard to watch such a talented team play so bad.Hunt is a beast!

You are 1,000,000% correct. Cornell is indeed the Man. A tough way to end your career. I hope Coach G. reads your post. ::)

We haven't had a good run yet.  But we are working on it :)

Doesn't Widener avoid playing anyone close by??? Thr reason they picked up Wesley was because they had three open dates after the defections. They have declined to renew. I think Wesley would welcome a home and home with any of the NJAC teams. They had always played one and even two NJAC teams for a numbers of years.

maAggie

How is it you only trash talk after Del Val wins ??? Not only that but
you and you husband come on as a double team. Smooth!!! After beating Wesley a
nd Salisbury, Del Val should have walked through the MAC.  Maybe the ACFC teams took too much out of the AGGIES. And don't take this as Aggie hating, I am a Del Val, i know the parents and relatives of many of the Upper  Moreland kids and have watched them play for years.

So what time do Cortland and RPI play??

CEC
And some have to wonder why Cortland only has 2 NCAA wins (same amount as Curry BTW)???

Maybe the 10 team NJAC is a mistake. Montclair, Rowan and TCNJ always had trouble to get teams to play us. Montclair needed a game last year and went down to Wesley. It doesen't matter the score but we could not play you guys this year due to the new NJAC. I think you guys will have your hands full against MHB but a better schedule would have you guys better prepared. I have my own issues with Montclair, and the best of luck to Wesley, you know I have a soft spart in my heart for you guys. Good Luck. ;)

It's not for trying that the schedule is what it is... We all knew that the Montclair was a one shot deal. Wesley had the same thing opportunity with Hartwick this year after the hurricaned out game with CNU but they declined the invite. They had oral commitments from Lyco for a home and home starting  next year but they called back and backed out and DelVal wants to backout of an agreed extension . But that's all old stuff.. Who knows what chaos will come out of the E8 opening it's doors to expansion.

And as for this weeks game.. Wesley has shut down some good running attacks this year. UMHB does pass the ball a bit more now but the Wesley db's had Muhlenberg's recievers having second thoughts all day. As I stated in the ACFC board I haven't seen hitting like that in any other year I've been following the Wolverines

PA_Wesleyfan,

Lighten up dude, just had to ask the question about the defense these teams play because all year long I heard about how good Montclair State was and how they were robbed by not getting a bid. They sure didn't show that much against an Albright team that Del Val routed 34 - 7 the week before. Honest question I thought!

Maybe I'm a little sensative about the NJAC since I have been exposed to years of Rowan propaganda loving just five minutes from that school. Sort of like you whose son went to Wesley yet lives down the road from Del Val. As I stated to you before, I always thought that the Aggies would win every game they ever played. I never waiver on that point. Hoping for Wesley to win the National Chanpionship, would be nice to be the only blemish on such a great team's schedule!

One last thing, as far as what Maggie posts on here or anywhere else I can guarntee you that they are completely her own opinions, we don't plan, plot or even discuss what one another does on here!

Well we do agree on two points.  1) Rowan b.s. All you have to do is look at U of Del and see how many D1 transfers Keeler has garnered without as much success and 2) Wives enoough said ;)

Rowan propaganda? DVC had two consecutive undefeated season ruined by Rowan in the NCAA playoffs — one of them by a 56-7 margin? I think you need to look up the meaning of propaganda.

Please see my earlier post today regarding your synopsis of the NJAC and please inform us when you have something more to go on than an ECAC victory... an NCAA win might be nice.

In 2007 the NJAC was 7-2 against the MAC:
Montclair beat Albright, Wesley and Wilkes
Rowan beat your conference champ, Widener 41-0
TCNJ beat FDU 53-7

Congrats on a successful 2008 against the NJAC — and zero NCAA victories.
