Well we do agree on two points.  1) Rowan b.s. All you have to do is look at U of Del and see how many D1 transfers Keeler has garnered without as much success and 2) Wives enoough said ;)

3 playoff appearances in 6 years and one National Championship and national runner-up last season to Appalachian State, pretty successful to me.  Also competing in one of the best D1AA conferences in the country.

It may be Rowan BS to you, and believe me I hate Rowan but they earned all the press and accolades they got under Bunting and Keeler.  They may have slipped back to the pack a little the last few years but they are still pretty good and I feel will be a real force next season.

Phil,

Maybe propaganda was a bad choice of words.

Here is a fact for you though. Rowan under Keeler was what I would consider to be a rogue program that stretched the rules of eligibility and  made a habit of picking up as many DI wash-outs as possible. There was no loyalty to players there, didn't maatter who you were, if he could find a DI  player to bring in and take your place he would.  Still doing the smae thing at Delaware.

Rowan is and was a very difficult school to get into academically. Would love to see the graduation rate of Keeler's football players under his tenure. Once Keeler left the program was strong until his players were out of the system. Coach Acorsi runs a much better program as far as being in the true spirit of DIII football.

GA Mangus at Del Val did the same thing to get his program moving forward. Beat the bushes for players that couldn't cut it at the bigger schools either academically or athletically and  brought them in to boost the program.  Sure, every DIII coach would love to have a few blue chip players fall into their laps but thise guys went looking for them. Coach Clements runs a completely different style in his recruiting and it seems to be working.

Don't get me wrong, Keeler and Mangus are both excellent coaches and have a win at all costs attitude which in their eyes may seem necessary. But, both are self promoters and were willing to take short cuts when available.

Just my opinion, of course, your's may differ!

I think Keeler has done a pretty good job at Deleware don't you guys think?

You mean Keeler actually tried to win rather than making sure he didn't hurt little Johnny's feelings because someone was better?  Don't think he ever did anything to be proven illegal eh?

Other things to do this weekend aside from talk trash on a message board. It's Thanksgiving weekend. Enjoy the holiday.

No need to trash talk Curry.  We will let the guys on the field do it for us.
Taste It!

To be fair, most of the guys on that Uof D National Championship team were brought in by Tubby Raymond.....

If you look at the last 10 years of UofD and compare that to Keeler, Raymond brought in more d1 washouts than Keeler....difference was that Keeler got them in at skill positions, where Raymond never seemed to be too sucessful that way....

I grew up near Rowan as well, and while clearly they benefitted from Bunting/Keeler's "recruiting" it's clear that they have been dominant for quite some time the "right" way....

Clearly the MAC and NJAC ebb and flow (probably a bit at the expense of each other) every year, based on the variable depths of each conference,  but being a MAC guy, I hate to say that despite some abberations, the NJAC teams have been better prepared to compete nationally....

Also, I seriously do not think that any team is backing out of a local game because they are "scared"...for years they couldn't get the scheduling right due to the vagaries of the MAC and NJAC schedule requirements....which I still think is a major scheduling issue still.

Just like the Albright and DV wins might give a "MAC'r the need to talk smack, I still am reeling from that biblical smack down handed Widener from Rowan.....

I still think it's a shame they can't incorporate the local ACFC teams into the MAC and NJAC conferences....

the more things change, the more they stay the same.  plymouth still sucks and NLNG is still an a$$.  WAKE UP NLNG.  You got punked by Mt. Ida.  You arent good.  You were not good then, you weren't good last week and you won't be good next season.  Cortland will beat you 9 out of, well....every 9 games.

Unfortunately, for you, the game is played on the field and not in the message board.

Go Dragons

Findtheball

I just love it , you beating a dead horse with the loss to Mt Ida . I really don't think you can . You'll find out today when the dragon slayer comes to your house. I have seen both teams play, you have a disadvantage today.

                                  GO CURRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except for the fact that you have no credibility...none, zilch, nada.  Do you actually believe that cortland would step on the field with the same defensive look that they gave you....the most one dimensional team on the planet?  They will be prepared for Curry.  If Cortland executes, they will win.

Findtheball

If not ..................they lose.....they don't have it this year ......sorry
for the love of the game
