regarding our football basketball duo athlete combo.... I happened on an interesting and relevant situation written up just today in the E8 room in the East Region... seems a starter on the Medaille Basketball team from last season (Medaille finished 25-3, so a pretty decent team), has transferred to the E-8's St John Fisher... to play Football!!!!   the comment did not indicate if he also intended to play basketball at SJF...
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Well, the lead story on D3Football is Eureka having a D3 record setting 736 yards passing in 62-55 win over Knox.... How many of those did Jordan Kindred get receiving?.....Whoa... stats are up on Knox site....Jordan Kindred, 13 receptions, 235 yards!!!!!!!!!   WOW....serious congrats !!

Kindred looked like he's been playing all his life, showed great instincts.  Huge comeback win for EC in the first ever Lincoln Bowl.  !

Folks, if my Google is correct, Sam Durley of EC set the ALL-TIME single game passing record today with 736, breaking the old record of 731.  Wow.

I agree ECREdev...the lead story on D3 football referred to it as the All time D3 record, but Googling it, it is the All time All Division NCAA record!!

Unbelievably enough, Lewis Holmes from the SLIAC's Principia holds the All Time All Division Record for Receiving yards in a game with 418 yards...!!!!

Who would have ever thought the SLIAC would own those two records!!

Wow, all-division, incredible. Didn't feel like that much--  I knew Durley was wracking up yards, but I figured in the 500 range, not 700+.

DEFENSE! DEFENSE! DEFENSE!

Okay to post football scores on a basketball site  since it was a basketball score anyway.

Did the defenses think that it was a flag football game and spend the entire afternoon looking for the flags on the hips of the offensive players rather than trying to tackle them?

Like many games at that level, not a ton of pass coverage, but Durley is also a huge (6' 5" 240) strong-armed QB.  He had the time to set his feet and was extremely accurate.  It was more what he did than what the defense didn't do.  EC's D really underperformed considering all of the returning upperclassmen.  Entertaining game for sure.
