Is tonites game at GC scheduled as exh. game?
What affialation does Logan belong to? I always thought it was a club team.

hopefan

dynasty - no won't make that one - will hit up in Carlinville once the conference games begin - I'm sure BC will be in the title chase

FC, now I know FU has played a weak sister now and then too  -  ie Moody River Bible School -  we gotta get our wins somewhere!!!!
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Sorry Hope and we have Concordia next. It was an honest question. I see Logan on the schedule of several NAIA and NCCAA teams. It was just a question cause there is nothing on Logan's site about any athletics.

Enjoy the Blues game LOL. I know about ofc. politics.
Bunchtime we'll wait to hear from you tonite.

Webster 84, Fisk 60. (Halftime - Webster 35, Fisk 26.) Maybe wilburt was right. While Fisk definitely has quickness, especially quick hands when a Webster player had picked up the dribble and was looking to pass, they didn't get as much out of it as I expected. Could be that they were tired (thank you, Fontbonne), or so it seemed to me. They put on a full court press with 10 minutes left, and while it was disruptive it did not turn the game around. Webster's inside game was too good, and Fisk did not show a strong inside game of their own. If Webster had shot free throws better the score would have been even more lopsided. Thankfully, the game wasn't close or those missed free throws would have been costly.

Y_Jack, thank you for the summary and also being the bearer of good news to me! Sounds like they didn't have trouble scoring!  I tried to find the box but it had been posted yet!  Who had good games, high scorers, and bench production etc.?

I'm not certain about scoring stats, but I know Hoggatt and Robinson were at 10 points each in the first half. Kuhn probably made double figures, and maybe Spinner. But not much of the scoring was from outside. The 3 point shooting was way off. I can only remember 2 that were made, but there were probably a couple more. Still, I'd be surprised if the 3 point percentage was above 25. I think the rebounding stats should show a healthy margin for Webster.

BunchTime, as you may have already seen, the box score is now posted. I was reasonably accurate in my previous post: Hoggatt 25, Robinson 14, Kuhn 14, Spinner 12; 2-18 on 3 pointers and a 53-27 rebounding margin.

Final at Greenville, Ill.

Greenville 96, Logan 57 (F)

Logan is a non-affiliated school.  It is more of a club team than any other, yes.  Is it a cupcake, yes.  By what I have learned in Pre-Conference scheduling, you schedule 1/3 Tough, 1/3 Good Games, and 1/3 Easy Win's.  That was our easy win.

More details later.

Y_Jack... I still have been unable to locate the box score but thanks once again!  Geez, it does sound like the outside game was hurting, but they, indeed, were able to compensate with the inside game.  I like too see that Robinson had a good game, as I believe is very valuable complement on the inside to Hoggatt.

Also, I disagree with PantherPride's philosophy on scheduling.  In this conference, and for many conferences, wins against very weak opponents do nothing since at-large bids are a virtual certainty not to be granted to a SLIAC team.  Also, games against against extremely tough competition can be counter-productive as well.  Therefore, I believe quality games against similarly talented teams in the region best serve a team for both regional rankings if that is relevant and also preparing for conference play.  I beleive the Gorloks have accomplished this and have in most years since they excluded Concordia Seminary from the schedule!

BunchTime, go to the Webster men's basketball page, click on "Statistics" then click on "2006-2007 Statistics". The box score for tonight's game is the top one.

Question: How do you shoot 2 for 18 from 3 point land, 16 for 29 from the free throw line and win by 24 points?

Answer: Outrebound your opponent by 26, hit 31 of 48 2 pointers, and hold them to 33% shooting

Y_Jack -- I have done that multiple times and it has yet to display.  Weird!  The last game that it shows is the RSOE game!  But you have provided enough info in the meantime until my computer catches up with civilization!

BunchTime, click on this link and see if it's there.

Also, if something isn't showing up when you go to a certain page click the "refresh" icon on the top of your page. That has helped me on occasion, even if it makes no sense that it would work.
