Denny, the wife would be staying home and she'll be about 5 weeks away from delivering our 1st kiddo.  Louisville is a fun place. I'll keep you posted about hiring you as a DD.  ;D

FU 71 Mac 67 it's almost over. Fouling time. 10 seconds. First time I've seen Mac. Very disappointing.
Final FU 74 Mac 69. Congrats Griff's

Stat of the Nite: FU won even though DeGeare fouled out in only 6 mins playing time. Got his 5th with 8 minutes to go.

Surprised no one has mentioned the ending at Spalding yet!  WOW!  Saw the video of it floating around on Twitter.  Hopefully it makes SportsCenter tonight as a top 10 play. It's certainly worthy!

EC. Thanks for the link. Wow! Big Time Will Barber. That pass doesn't happen from the other end of the court. Camera shows the Balcony over the inbounds line at the other end. Home court advantage. ;D

Good Luck to the final four teams. Bunchtime, having watched Mac play today. I like the Gorloks chances even more. We could be road tripping. ;D

Also a note: When projecting where the SLIAC Rep may be sent for NCAA Tourney. Wash U women's have first rite to host the first weekend, over the men.

I hope JoeVegas and the FU western fan base were watching the video feed. Vegas native Yada Demisee hit two clutch free throws to nail this one down. And, Bishop Gorman product, Grant Tucker, got a little clock, along with Rio Chandler.

Good win Joe.

Good decision by hopefan yesterday... went to Webster Eureka ladies game where game was decided on last possession when a critical offensive rebound allowed Webster to run the clock out and win by two, then over to Fontbonne to see the Griffs upset Mac, pushing Mac out of a two way tie for the SLIAC Championship... Surprising time to see Todd Creal change the starting lineup inserting Clayton Whitlock, it seemed to bog down the Highlanders, and nothing more was achieved offensively as I suspect Coach hoped.  Cody Ettinger was the hero, with 2 critical hoops and several free throws in the last minutes that kept Fontbonne's lead to multiple possessions....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

I do have a question why doesn't the league include everyone in the post season tourney?  Are they worried teams like Fontbonne could get hot and win.

formersliaccommish

There are at least five good reasons why the SLIAC does not let everybody in the Post Season Tournament:

1) It makes the regular season relevant and as a veteran of the fight to get the Post Season Tournament reinstated, I can tell you that this is really important.

2) It means fewer missed classes.

3) It is a financial loser, although playing the Tournament at Spalding or Iowa Wesleyan are probably also financial losers.

4) In the current format the games should be competitive, not the one versus eight or two versus seven slaughters you generally have if everyone gets in.

5) Sometimes a team, like Fontbonne, gets hot at the end of the season but why should they get rewarded for playing poorly most of the year and then getting hot at the end.
