Plus 1K Dave. It seems we have an outlier from this policy out here. Thanks, Again and enjoy Tourney Time.

Best time of the year and the resident SLIAC superfan, Hopefan, is conspicuously AWOL.   :-\

On another note...what are the keys for Webster to compete with IWU? My single biggest key is this: Webster must come out and go toe-to-toe with the Titans and perhaps grab a quick lead.  You see it time and time again in hoops in these David vs. Goliath matchups. The underdog can't get behind early 'cause it's awfully tough playing catch-up with a great team like IWU at their place.  On the other hand, when the underdog can come out and punch the favorite in the mouth and gain some confidence and hang around, anything can happen.

Kind of reminds me when my beloved Mizzou Tigers got beat by Norfolk State - a 15 vs. 2.  Norfolk St. lead nearly the whole game, gained a lot of confidence, started believing, made shots and the rest is history. Damn, that one still stings!

Thanks magicman. The discussion was about how schools Ramp Up to host. Or, if they travel do schools have fan charter buses? Do they make it a Big Deal on Campus?

Plus 1k for previous response. And, thank you in advance on anything other you could add.

My Euphoria results from the Cinderela season my little brother's HS team he coach's is having. And, having fun with Tourney Time, when I don't have a dog in the race.

I know York (NY) sent up 30 or 40 fans to Providence, RI to the game @ RIC tonight.  And a lot of schools do that too.  Western Connecticut didn't do that, but when the men's team went down to Franklin & Marshall 2 years ago, there were about 10 students or so that drove down for the second round game.

Thanks 7express +1K. Bunchtime it's the power of positive thinking. And your on the right track

Mr. Ypsi

Bunchtime, watch out for Jordan Nelson.  I think of him as IWU's version of Vinnie (The Microwave) Johnson of the old 'Bad Boys' - a guy who can come off the bench and drain 4 threes in 5 minutes to either launch a comeback or put away a game.

I'm just not sure you guys have an answer for Andrew Ziemnik and Victor Davis up front - they are a load!

BunchTime

Ypsi, thanks for dropping some knowledge over here.  Haven't seen either of those guys play but our frontcourt is pretty solid.  The key will be the Gorloks bigs staying out of foul trouble, which has been a problem at times.  IWU's resume and tradition speaks for itself.  Gorloks are gonna have their hands full, no doubt.  Hoping to see a good one!

2 years ago, the Scranton men played at William Paterson(NJ) about 2 hours away and had a school fan bus make the trip both nites; some of the women players were on the buses and it inspired them enough to win their own bid last year.
This year the men are 4 hours away but the women are hosting, so we're hoping for a good crowd at home. If we're good enough to win at least 1 of these regionals, we hope to be hosting next week also when it can be combined with the 3rd largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country for a memorable weekend.

That will be a Hell of an experience for any team coming to your place. I hope you get a chance and Good Luck I have a few teams back east to follow now. Check your karma. Thanks again.

That was simple. One line request for Info. Look at what all these nice people had to say about Tourney Time. Enthusiasm is contagious.

Moral of story: Someone has dropped the ball on ya Bunchtime and the Team.

I don't beg!

Won't be able to make it to Bloomington tonight ... but let me throw out one little inspirational reminder to the Gorloks (note proper spelling)...

4 years ago IWU came down to Webster... UNDEFEATED..... and blew out The Gorloks in the first half, 44-23.  Coach Bunch said the right words at half time, because Webster came back all the way to catch IWU in the 2nd half, and fell just short of getting the SLIAC's best nonconference win EVER, losing 84-80.... That day, Frosh Jarrod Huskey, now one of Webster's two senior regulars, had the BEST GAME OF HIS CAREER, going 9-11 from the field, finishing with 19 points and  outplaying IWU's AllAmerican Candidate Doug Sexauer. That day Frosh Hollis Edwards, Webster's other current senior,  played 22 minutes alongside Webster's one year wonder, the unforgettable Willie Trimble, and although he didn't score, he contributed 5 rebounds and 4 assists....

WE HAVE PLAYED A VERY GOOD IWU TEAM EVEN IN THE PAST... OUR CURRENT SENIORS WERE A PART OF IT..  It can happen again...value the ball, get good shots, challenge defensively without useless fouls, hold IWU to one shot per possession... We're good enough to make it happen

Great Thoughts. Check your Karma.

Let's also point out what happened in one of the two first round games played last night..

York (NY) traveled to Rhode Island College... York has been somewhat looked at as one of the surprise teams in the field because they upset Top 25 team Staten Island in the CUNY Conf Tourney...  Massey had Rhode Island College a 3 point favorite.....   Result... York 79  Rhode Island College 54    a 28 point win vs the spread!!!!

This just shows The game is played tonight on the court.... TONIGHT.... prior performance, comparisons of schedule and scores, doesn't mean ____ once the ball goes up in the air......

AND...I'd also mention, the SLIAC's last two entrants, Westmin two years ago and Spalding last year have given Top notch teams Wash U and Hope all they could handle in first round games....  I really think the SLIAC's top teams are catching up a little, and that first NCAA win is coming sooner than some would think...

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

It's gotta happen sometime!  #WhyNotWebster
