The SLIAC website falls under the umbrella of the commish's ofc.

Mac Attack, the SLIAC site is hosted by Maryville University. If you go to the SLIAC home page, at the bottom of the left hand column it says "Website hosting provided by Maryville University". Put your pointer over "Maryville University" and it will change into that little hand that, when you click, takes you to a link. I just tried it. Unfortunately, that link is not the webmaster for the SLIAC site, which I had hoped, it is to Maryville's home page.

Guy's I'm telling you that website concerns fall under the responsibilities of the commissioners ofc. Yes it is outsourced to the MU server, but if you have concerns I would try contacting the commisioner's office for fastest results. Rich does a pretty good job of trying to stay on top of this.

The SLIAC commissioner is Rich Meckfessel - -  VERY nice gentleman who always takes time to chat with fans at SLIAC games.   He is well aware of this site and as a matter of fact inroduced himself to me at a game several years ago asking me if I was hopefan because I had a Hope College sweatshirt on.   He has written once in a blue moon on this site to answer pointed direct questions.  He is a wealth of information on Basketball history in the area - it's a real pleasure to chat with him.
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

The SLIAC SID is in charge of the website.  She updates the website with the stats and scores.  She relies on the SID's and other staff from other schools to turn in stats/scores/etc.

In lieu of an SID,  I compiled MacMurray's stats through the first three games. Not sure what I should do with them...don't want to offend anyone at MacMurray, but....

fcnews

Just noticed in the updated SLIAC stats that the Griffin's have five players in the top 15 in scoring avg. and three in the top five in asists. To go with two of the top three rebounders. It is always a concern if FU has enough balls for it's team, but it appears that these kids are starting to get a clue.

Here's some stats on MacMurray thru three games:

Scoring
Robertson 19.0 (27 for 39 FG)
Whelum 12.6
Coleman 12.6
Compton 11.6
Greene 10.3

Rebounding
Greene 7.0
Robertson 5.3

Assists
Coleman - 5.0
Robertson - 3.3%

Pts per Game - 93
Pts Allowed - 105.6 (the 138 by Grinnell scews this just a bit...)
FG% - 53.1%
FT% - 66.2%
3PT% - 36.7%

Sorry for the late posts all but classes and finals im oretty booked.

BC loses to Robert-Morris 70-73.

This was the worst 1rst half of B-ball Ive ever seen followed by one of the best 2nd halfs that I ve ever seen. Ill get stats later on, but the end of the game came down to Grant Lamsargis missing two freethrow with 2 seconds on the clock. RM gets the rebound and calls a TO. A full court lob pass to their number 41 at the arc, turn around jumper and sinks it for the game. Both teams played mediocre. RM missed a ton of free throws, Zeb Hammond had an OK night leading BC in scoring but still shooting below average.

North Park U d. Eureka  75-66 OT

From what I've been reading on the CCIW board, North Park is much improved. All of us in the "Pick 'Em" thought Eureka would win, and the Red Devils certainly played them tough. Eureka appears to be a probable conference championship contender.

NPU played Tuesday night's game without the services of the team's star shooting guard, Jason Gordon. It was also the third game in four nights for the Vikings, with Eureka being a three-hour busride away for good measure. By comparison, the Red Devils were very well-rested; they hadn't played a game in an entire week before last night. Under the circumstances, I think the game was somewhat closer than it otherwise would've been.

Sager, it sounds like you were not at the game Tuesday. There were probably less than 10 NPU fans there, so I guess you were in good company. You would have been proud of your team Tuesday night. I was personally hoping your Vikings would pack it in after Eureka hit them with that 25-4 run to start the half, especially with, as was pointed out, it being their 3rd game in 4 days. That darn Nick Williams just killed us down the stretch and Capalbo was automatic anytime he was left open.

As for tonight's game, I'm just hoping everyone makes it back safe and sound from Millikin. Maybe the Red Devils will even bring back a W. Who knows?

Nice job on the stats, Mac Attack. Are you keeping those yourself when you go to games? I'm pretty sure the SLIAC SID needs stats in the computer generated format each school has so that they are easily reported to the NCAA. I'm sure Mac will have everything straightened out soon. I can't imagine trying to take over as SID mid-stream like this.

Mac Attack

eureka_sid - I pulled the stats together by going to the Millikin, Monmouth, and Grinnell sites. They have posted their box scores, so I just pulled it together on my own without any computer generated software, etc. If/when we get a SID, I guess this work would save him/her a lot of time and trouble recreating everything. In the meantime, I'll continue to do the best I can to stay on top of Mac's stats. I would assume at some point in time the SLIAC office would want this information.

Everyone needs to stay off the roads tonight unless its an extreme emergency - like a basketball game...

What is up with no SID at Mac?  Did they fire someone or just not hired someone?

Eureka won at Millikin tonight, 68-62...

Nice road win for Eureka -- Millikin has talent.

Thanks Titan Q - From the box score, the obvious question has to be:

How do you go 1-7 in the first half ( 6-18 for the game ) from the free throw line at home?
