What brought this on all of a sudden?

Apparently his inability to find posts that are still on the board ...  ::)

It's not the first time that this kind of thing has happened, Pat. Go back to the posts in this room from late October for the half-amusing, half-exasperating saga of how Denny insisted that allamericanredhead was a man -- despite numerous SLIAC room posts from her that had indicated just the opposite. :D

Good post, Sager, about Slyder.  I always appreciate your insight and posts on this board.  You obviously know D3 hoops about as well as anyone I've seen on these boards.

My CCIW wisecrack was tongue-in-cheek this morning.  Hence, the laughing emoticon I posted.  No harm intended.

That was seriously one of my all time favorite string of posts on D3boards.com.

I definitely do not know Ms. Redhead but my guess is that she knows a lot more about SLIAC and St. Louis area basketball than most.

Greenville does a fantastic job of posting bios of recruits, and they have their first one up on their site for next fall... looks like a good one:

Kinzer Havill   6'5"  Princeton Indiana
"To date in his senior year, Kinzer is averaging 16 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, including a 24 point 14 rebound performance against Bosse.  In addition, Kinzer was selected to the Toyota Teamwork Classic All Tournament Team and was listed as All State Honorable Mention by Hoosier Basketball Magazine. "

This is a perfect fit  for Greenville's needs with sometime starters/key bench players Tevon Rollins and Anthony Metzler, both 6'4", both graduating....

Speaking of online bios...I've always wondered why SLIAC schools (or any schools for that matter) don't do a better job of this.  Most schools have come a long way in recent years in terms of webpages, but it seems to me a pretty easy task for someone to update each players yearly bio like you see on the D1 websites.  Usually about 4-5 sentences suffices for each player per year.  Not a big deal but it's a nice feature to have available for interested persons.

One more from me and then back to hibernation:  FC right now is a mess, not just the athletic department, but the whole school. Any coach with any options right now should avoid FC like the plague. The goon squad that is now running that place has run it into the ground. Treatment of employees there is horrid. The good Sisters who founded FC would roll over in their graves if they knew of the unchristian type treatment of the people who work there. Seriously, their enrollment is way down and I question if the place can survive if some drastic changes are not made. Athletics has fallen off the charts. Many of their teams cannot even fill full rosters, let alone be competitive. Look at not only men and women's basketball, but also volleyball and track/cross country. Several years ago they were regular conference champs, now they cannot even field competitive teams. The decent coaches have been run off and those left cower in fear. It is bad and getting worse. I suspect Dennis and his family are not happy of the treatment of Lee at the end. From what I hear, it was  shoddy, but it is right in line with how the overpaid incompetents running the place have treated everyone there.

Veteran observers still feel they have the best half time dance team in the conference!!!!

In the past 10 days this board went from page 811 to page 835. I don't think 24 pages full of posts has occurred here this fast since I started reading this board years ago.

hopefan, you must be in 7th heaven to see all the chatter on your homeboard. 8-)

Of course, any time you get Greg in the middle of a controversy, that's always good for a few pages. ;D And his posts are always so great that they are a must read. I kept coming back for more.

no doubt.... though some of the content has been, shall we say, a bit repetitive.. ;D ;D ;D

Once the NCAA tourney is complete, I'll come back with my yearly review of each team....
