And, your last comment is obvious. I have been thru a lot of years of enrollment numbers. But, you seem to be confidant with your info. So I will defer further discussion to you.

You said 85-125 in a follow up comment, but you started with 85.

I have reasons to be confident in my information.  I am confident that we will not know until late in the summer.  No reason to defer the discussion to me; I have the same concerns that you have.

I am curious about your comment that Fontbonne had a niche and moved away from it.

That's a big positive change..UTD, University of Texas at Dallas  (not to be confused with the University of Dallas), is one of the top teams in the ASC... They won 27 games this past season and have 20 or more wins in each of the last 6 seasons....This will be a huge test for Webster and Mac, and will show early in the season if the SLIAC can be thought of on the national scene...

Also of interest on Webster's schedule is season opening exhibition down at Austin Peay.... Road trip anyone?

Let's be Honest. It's Great for the Fans in StL to see a top South Region team. As for Webster and Mac, I think they would prefer the other Dallas. Early season wins build positive momentum. Webster should be competitive.

It's the annual non-conf. Strength of schedule. Win or Lose, playing in the SLIAC ( last yrs worst ranked conference ) your chances of getting regional ranked are very slim and 0% for a Pool C bid.

Austin Peay has a nice facility. But, officiating won't allow the game to be close.

Pretty solid WU source says, FU's NOY Bryan DeGeare will be suiting up for Mineral Area CC this year. And, WU has added solid depth. If everyone returns.

Hopefan your retired. And No summer league reports???

hopefan

Summer league is down at St Louis Sports Center off of Heege Road this year....  Webster kids decided not to play as local bodies able to play weren't enough to field a team each night....  not sure if Fontbonne or Westmin are playing or not.

The news on Brian DeGeare is correct... he will not be at Fontbonne this coming year.  The 2 Vegas kids, Tucker and Guinn will be gone too (with Joe Vegas as well?)   However, Rio Justice Chandler (3rd Vegas kid) and Dallas Haywood (Chicago) both are expected to return... Rumor mill had both of them gone earlier.... and during my one visit to Fontbonne, one player was working out in the weight room and later on out on the court.. Greg Gentry.....

Can coach Hall make one of those 3 a PG? I guess there wasn't enough "Team Building" for Quinn or Tucker. Haha ???  ;D

Good News heard. FU is up to 94 freshmen. But down to only 2 employees in Financial Aid. If you need a Job, send FU a resume!

Eureka will get a chance to play Division I Bradley right in its back yard on Dec. 18.

I heard, with no specifics at all but from a good source, that EC got another good group of recruits from the local junior colleges up north...  They definitely need immediate help

Hopefan, can we expect an influx of transfers at FU as well? They need instant help, also. I need help to clarify one of your comments. So you have not attended a summer league game, because Webster boys aren't playing? That does not sound like your neutral self. I thought you at least might be interested in WC. Coach Mitchell has a couple of legit size posts for the first time in awhile.

Hopefan did Coach Hall discuss a transfer that played HS at St. Francois Borgia? Thought I heard about him during the end of last season.

Also, Shout Out to former GC star LaPhonso Ellis. Was just named MVP of the "Slammers Pro Combine" in Bonn, Germany.

Denny....a number of Griff recruits were still being worked when I spoke to Coach Hall... I did see video on one confirmed recruit from down in SE Missouri area... Small school player, big scorer, 6'8", mobile, solid body.. Could help right away if he can run and play defense.
Regarding the summer league, with the change in venue, a lack of correct info from the venue...they told me there were games on Wednesday and there weren't... I bagged it... It was fun to watch at Webster and Bunch and staff would be around.. The new venue has hardly any seating...

Hopefan the kid from SeMo is in play. I would think he'd be the kind you'll know the first day of classes. Just my opinion.

I hope Coach Hall can get himself some help. DeGeare, Tucker, Guinn, Stephens, Woods........ There has been alot of size come thru FU. Not much remaining, though. And, a couple scorers would be nice. ;D

Couple of Tidbits: Former FU's Bryan DeGeere will be playing for Lewis and Clark CC this coming year and Not Mineral Area CC. Makes sense. Why waste the one year going someplace where you would probably spend the year on the bench. I wonder if DeGeere ends up in Pheonix in '15-'16 for Coach Schaefer's Inaugural season? Coach Schaefer really seemed to of like the Kid. I thought Titan Q may of made a recruiting visit. Haha

I think WC will need a Big Man Coach. Hopefan get your resume in. Seems Coach M. Has some much needed height coming in. Several sources say WC is getting two transfers, from DII McKendree, one is 6'8 and Big. Plus I know he's getting a 6'9+ freshmen from Union HS and a 6'7 from St. James.

As for as FU goes it's been kind of quiet. Except for the demo work remodling the Prez's Wydown House. That's the Best News. For players, just the two players already mentioned. But, there are still quite a few of Previous Coach's players, who have got experience.

Not much but something. ;D
