Webster trailed Loras 72-59 (at least I think that's what it was) and came back to tie in regulation 76-76, then held on to win 92-88 in OT. Aaron Griffin was perfect from the line at the end of the game to help make the win possible. Hunter Ward seems to be a rope-a-dope kind of player lulling the opponent to sleep in the first half with poor shooting then coming on making big shots in the second half. Ahmad Smith was the man today -- 12-24 and 25 points.

WUH beat me to the post -- I guess the deficit was 16, not 13.

Spalding beats Transylvania (at Spalding) 80-63. Transylvania is generally a pretty solid program but are now 0-3. Spalding is 2-2.

#4 Wash-U struggling vs. Fontbonne, leading 38-36 at halftime.

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

FU women beat a Knox team that had been averaging over 100 pts game coming in. Final 93-88.

If I was a Knox alumni or had anything to do with this program, I would be embarrassed to say so, today. One of the Knox women's players decided she wanted to do her own protesting. At the start of the National Anthem she ran to gym wall under the American Flag. And, got on her knees with her hands raised. After, the last note she collapsed face first and laid there thru the starting lineups. Finally one of the officials asked a Knox coach to go move her. She continued her protest the full length of the gym and into the locker room.

There is a time and place for that. But, maybe if she could of performed this at a Knox home game. I'm just saying. The strangest thing I've ever seen at a women's basketball game.

That is crazy, Denny!

Fontbonne men seem to have good athletes in the last couple of years, just needed consistent direction.  Looks like the Grifs might have that direction now and apparently gave Wash-U fits in the first half tonight out in California.

Trying to find a link to the audio broadcast, if one is being conducted...

WashU is now up 59-48, midway through 2nd half...

Nope.

WashU 66, Fontbonne 54, 5:00 left 2nd half.

Last night's game with Carthage was broadcast via streamtheworld.com, but there were no links that I could easily find...

Thank God for Twitter.  In what way was Fontbonne giving the Bears fits?

Wash-U only led by 2 at halftime.  Details aren't known, pending the release of a box score.

Jaybird- FU hired Maureen Roberts - Sias for there new WBB coach. Best hire in a while. Maureen was a member of the 2001 FC Lady Griffin's. The team that stopped Wash U's streak and went to the Sweet 16 that year. She holds a couple school records and had 1000+ pts in her career. She was also a longtime assst of Kieth Quigley's at FU. Watch out.
The men I really don't know much. They have a lot of experience and a big Jr. class that should be finding there way. I've only met Coach Hall once. Seems like a very nice guy. We'll have to see. Hopefan thinks they are in the mix.
