Are you sure? Eureka is going to be under a 30-hour winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service from 6 pm onward.

Unfortunately, I've learned that the postponement of the Men's game Eureka at Webster is indeed a personal situation involving the Eureka Men's program... Webster Coach Bunch immediately and graciously agreed to the rescheduling.  The women's game is still on, though it would certainly make sense to also postpone it due to the weather threat and have both teams travel to Webster in January.

Today's games

Fontbonne at Greenville.      Sorry, no contest.
Mac at Blackburn.   BC with or without Deandre Manuel?  It doesn't matter. Mac's lengthy win streak vs BC comes to an end.  No answer For Coach Creal
Spalding Westminster.   Spalding  desperate for a win. Battle of big men will be interesting but Westminster perimeters far better. This one will really put Spalding in a bad spot going to second semester.

I apologize my lack of genuinely interesting contributions to the SLIAC basketball discussion, but this is interesting SLIAC athletics news:

Westminster is establishing only Division III wrestling program in Missouri and the program will be coed.

Eureka women can make it down to Webster, but Mac teams can't get to Blackburn   Strange

A little insider info... Blackburn, the home team, called for the postponement of the Mac BC game... concerned about the immediate surroundings, parking etc.. people walking to student union for refreshments, rest rooms etc... definitely playing it on the safe side, better safe than sorry.... Mac's womens team was literally on the bus when word reached them....St Louis highways were freezing up near Webster, therefore near Wash U... numerous accidents on hwy 44 in stretch from Elm  Ave to Sunset Hills... Eureka-Webster women did play...

Greenville clobbers Fontbonne, 145-99... Fontbonne turns it over 41 times.... after a low scoring system first half, Greenville gets 87 points in the 2nd half... despite poor 3 point shooting from Kenny Greene, DeAndre Brown and Kieshaun Young Jones (4 for 23), Stevante Young, Michael Hohm, Shane Smith fill it up (12-18) to help Greenville run away....Young 17 for 30 from 3's in last 3 games

Westminster dumps Spalding 77-57 after being up only 2 at half.... Westmin Sean O'brien wins battle of big men over Spalding's Nick Trisko.. O'Brien 9 for 11 from field including 3 for 4 from 3's, 25 points, while Trisko gets 14 and 9... Trisko 6 for 11 from field, rest of team 14 for 43, 32%... Spalding just doesn't have good perimeter shooters...Strange stat line Jimmy Villabalos, player of week, gets 6 minutes, 0 for 5 from field, 3 turnovers?? Not the kid I saw last week...
More good numbers for Romo Tabb, 15 points 6 rebounds...

BC postpones game with Mac... first word I hear is may be played between Christmas and New Years...30th, 31st

Interesting game on Tuesday night, Buena Vista at Greenville... BV coming in at 5-3 against a very tough schedule, will be best team Greenville has faced... Interesting to see how BV reacts to the pressures of the system....Hoping GC's Greene, Brown find their shooting touch and GC can put the D3 nation on notice that they are for real!!  Just noticed that is a 4:00 start time!!

Well, Buena Vista only beat Beloit by 2 on Sunday... They may be a pretty tired basketball team from Finals and travel by Tuesday afternoon... bodes well for Greenville...
