An extremely hot topic in the SLIAC going into the 2018-19 season will be the status of Eureka's Shea Feehan...

Sources indicate he was introduced as a senior playing his final home game on Eureka's senior night..

He is listed as a Junior on Eureka's roster....

Feehan was on the Lewis University roster in 2014-15, but never appeared in a game that year (per Lewis statistics)

He started playing for Eureka in the second semester  of the 2015-16 season, then played for Eureka in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

Barring any additional info not noted, it would seem he has at least one full season of eligibility left... (though does the roster appearance at Lewis constitute a season of eligibility?)... if that is so, could he have 0 of 1/2 a year of eligibility left...

And if eligibility is left, will he be returning, or has he had enough, or perhaps did he earn his degree this year?

All sorts of questions.... Hoping experts can clear up any eligibility question, hoping Eureka posters can appraise us if Feehan will return if it is in the realm of personal decision...

Why important?  Feehan averaged 30.6 points per game this year, 31.5 ppg in conference.... Eureka will be good next year without him, very, very good with him....

If he doesn't appear in any games, but does all the practices, team activities, suits up and sits on the bench every game, I would guess that counts?

Yes

Isn't that the definition of a redshirt? Still a thing in D-II.

I don't think that's the case. Redshirts are definitely on the sidelines in football and can be used at a moment's notice.

well, the youtube video that WUPHF attached certainly implies that he is looking to try one year at a higher level, which therefore implies that he feels he has a year of eligibility left..

It's 100% confirmed. Greenville will play Hope in the early game at the North Park Invite on Friday, November 16, while NPU will host Simpson in the second game. It's a standard-format tourney, so the losers and winners will play the next day.
