Webster's schedule has been released. It shows 27 games, none identified as exhibitions. Has something changed?

Because there are only eight full conference members at the moment, there are 14 conference games and 13 non- conference games. Only one of the non-conference games is against provisional member Mississippi University for Women. Once UMW and soon to be provisional member Lyon are in the conference, scheduling will get a bit simpler.

You can have in-season games that only count as exhibitions for you, but may count as real games for the opponent (or exhibitions for both), I believe. Any of the 3 non-D3 games could be that way, I think. Harris-Stowe State Univ., Columbia College or Univ. of Illinois-Springfield. I mention these 3 because they are all on the road and it's not likely Webster would have a home game that doesn't count for them, but counts for their opponent...I suppose they could?

^^^Thanks. I thought at least a couple of the games would have to be exhibitions -- most likely two of those you mentioned. I'm just curious that none of them are identified as exhibitions on the schedule.

I checked their schedules. None of those schedules list Webster as an exhibition. So, I'm assuming those games count for them but not for Webster...at least 2 of them to get Webster to 25 games.

This was supposed to change before covid: no exhibitions after the season starts unless it counts as one of your 25. Not sure if they're still trying to get back to that next year.

Webster's games vs Columbia College (Dec 10) and U of I - Springfield (Dec 30) are now identified on the schedule as exhibitions.

Question of the day... why would the Gorloks schedule a long trip to Mississippi to play a single game  on Nov 26(MUW),   then return the following weekend for another long trip to Mississippi to play a single game, against Milsaps.... they couldnt schedule a one weekend 2 game trip?

^^^ The other teams have schedules, too.

From a travel efficiency standpoint, you are right. But the schedule as it exists is surely easier on the Webster players physically.

FWIW, the games against Columbia and Ill-Springfield are listed as Exhibitions now.

SLIAC teams are 10-32 so far. Principia has five of those wins, Blackburn has three. Four teams are winless.

FWIW, Principia's loss is to Illinois College by 26 points. IC is 5-1 and also has wins over Blackburn by 23 and Webster by 16.

As sad as this season has started out for most SLIAC teams, how can we explain Spaldings win over Centre last night... Unexpected....
