Panther....Man, talk about a DO OR DIE game for Greenville tonight!  Furthermore, against a team that is playing extremely well of late!  However, I am sure the Panther are as pumped as anybody for this game and it might be exactly what they need -- Do or die atmosphere at home and against the league's best team (hold the thoughts...this was a statement simply in regards to WU's first place status).  It should be an exciting game!  If mememory serves me correct, the Gorloks have traditionally played well at Greenville.  I am sure Panther knows this stat better than me though!  Big night tonight that should have some implications for the Tourney!

Just in case anyone was wondering, we have about 5-6 inches of snow on the ground here in Eureka with several more on the way it looks like. The men's team is planning on plowing out of here at 2 pm hoping to get to Jacksonville. As of now, the games are still on. I'm sure both teams would rather not have to try to reschedule this game somewhere in their already packed next 2 weeks. We'll just have to see how far we get.

i actually did pick eureka to make it.  i dont put much value into my weekly picks as much i do my overall who i think will make it.  mostly everything i say is just hunches at the moment anyway.  i didnt pick FU or GC.  From that I think you can figure out who I do think. :)

Like I said earlier my info was from a reliable source but only the people involved will really know about the Mac vs WC thing.  I also have let it go.  Should be a fun night, wish I could make it to Fulton.

also Pat or whoever is responsible, thank you very much for changing WC's name on the poll.  did the email help ;)

Pace is furious. Eureka has lots of turnovers. Tarpley kept in check. Highlanders being led by Compton and Greene. Mac playing MUCH harder...

Halftime
This is the hardest Mac has played all year long. Unbelieveable pressure. Eureka looked gassed. Lots of turnovers. Mac scoring inside and out, playing 94 feet. Tarpley, McComb, Richard all quiet. Darnell and Peffer are keeping the Devils in the game. Greene, Compton, and Whalum leading the charge for Mac. Jimmy Michaels came off the bench to hit two 3s, and Polston one 3 - huge lift for the team. Halftime stats in a minute...

Mac Attack

at the half stats...

Compton 13
Greene 8
Coleman 8
Whalum 6
Michaels 5
Schmidt 4
Polston 3
Robertson 1 (playing terrific defense on Tarpley)

Peffer has nine for Eureka...

Mac 17-34 FG, 7-16 3pt, & 7-8 FT. Mac averages 20 turnovers a game, but only has three in the first half...

Eureka 8 turnovers, 11-23 FG, 3-7 3pt

Can MacMurray win with Robertson only scoring one point in the first half? Will Tarpley, Peffer, and Richard step up in the second half? Mac led Greenville by 21 with eight minutes to play - and lost. Highlanders will need to play even harder at both ends in the second half to put the Devils away. This one is far from over....

Mac Attack

Mac came out flat. Eureka hit three 3s...

Darnell is keeping Eureka close. Mac has cooled off. But if Mac can hit their FTs and don't turn it over, they have a chance.
