Wrong night to go  -  First game was Merrimac - Fontbonne  -  Out of Control playground ball - Gym was about 90 degrees  -  No White, Branch, Fogarty, Storandt, Fournie or Rapp - So it was basicly Parker out of contol, McCoy out of control, though they still won by 20.   Freshman Lefty from Vianney shot well, had 4 long rangers, but will take time to build a body and be a rebounder.  Levette hardly saw the ball.   And it's really obvious that if the Fontbonne staff really Coaches Parker, and keeps him distributing the ball and playing within the system, that he will be the best player in the conference.   But left to do what he wants, he could mess things up big time.  GREAT quicks.


After sitting thru that, I watched about 5 minutes of Webster with Kuhn and Hredlicka and a lot of new faces, vs Westminster with 5 guards, and the heat was too much   - - sorry.  Tho once again, Cory Kuhn always impresses  -  came over and said hi, yucked it up for a minute or two, clearly was Webster's leader over on the bench.

And why am I not shocked that Mac has hired a Great AD and will have a Great coach, and that it will all "come out"  -  that's baloney - tell us who it is -  we're likely the only ones in the world besides the Mac family who give a hoot  -  MacAttack's writngs have grown boring , predictable, uninformative, repetitive  -  Yjak, you give him far too much credit.   100% agree with Pat

First time I've posted in more than a month and I get whacked. I'm not into name-calling, so I'll let it go. It would be inappropriate for someone outside the Mac program to release the names of the new AD and men's basketball coach before they're officially on campus. The college will and should do that.  I would suggest that anyone else who would prefer to know more than this pick up the phone and call the school, instead of relying on a message board to get all of your D3 information.

Glad to hear Mac hired a AD/Men's Basketball coach. Sounds like they got the most out of their money. Hopefan sorry Meremac didn't have the air on. Sounds like a typical summer league night. No doubt Parker is an athlete. But, if he can't play with in the FU system, they have proved they can win without him. What did Meremac have?

Let's see - reviewed all posts and saw no one called a name.....  only what was written was referred to.   If someone has been named to a position, I see nothing inappropriate about writing the known info here  -  I don't subscribe to the Jacksonville Gazette, and it may not make the front page of St Louis Post.  And I'll do exactly that - call up Mac, though last time no one answered th phone.....

FC  -  Merrimac didn't look to hot - as to be expected as I imagine most of the kids are right out of high school and hadn't played much together - Coaches Albrecht and Libby didn't seem too happy about their level of play.....

I find it difficult to understand why someone like Mac Attack posts something with the intent of being helpful, and gets taken to task for it. That seems to me like a very good way to discourage posters to the site.

ok, so now I am taken to task ;  my critique of Mac is for this:

Mac's writings in March April :  MacMurray WILL hire a Great and Wonderful AD and Coach

May   :  MacMurray is in the process of hiring a great and wonderful Coach and AD

June  :  MacMurray has hired a great and wonderful coach and AD but I'm not telling who it is

July  :  I'm sure it will  be, Mac has hired  AD X and Coach Y, and guess what, they are great and wonderful.

Please, some substance  -  at least it can then create meaningful conversation.  you know, like Coach xx is a strong candidate as he came from somoza state where he had such and such record, noted for defense or offense or recruiting or working with big guys - whatever

Big Congrats go out to Coach Bunch from Webster, who will be tying the "Knot" this weekend. Tells you something about the SLIAC coaching community when the FU head coach is an invited guest to an arch rival schools coach's wedding.

Mac  Attack is Mac Attack. We should be used to his posting style. With most of us you have to read between the lines. Except for maybe "tell it like it is Hopefan".

I to have caught flack for releasing info I know to my posting friends. It's just that FU is a little more open with information then some.

Hopefan, I don't think I was taking you to task. Actually it was Pat Coleman who made the initial jibes, and he is the Site Administrator. In his position that seems uncalled for. I just don't understand why, if we want posters for whatever information they wish to share, that we attack the messenger, even though Attack is part of his name.

Well, I got a name from MacMurray with the new AD hire, and the area the person is coming from,  by calling the school, but because I couldn't match up the name on the internet on Google (I could be using wrong first name or spelling wrong), I will defer from throwing the name out   -  I'm sure we'll hear about  ::)HER soon.

I was told that the interviewing is in process for the men's hoops coach position.

I think it's because that isn't information. It's just rhetoric. It's not information unless there's an actual fact presented.

I don't get why the time is right to post rhetoric about who we are supposed to believe they've hired but not time to post an actual name or any facts.

so someone comes in and gives me negative karma  -   wonder who?  Well at least hopefully, it's a sign of some interest in what's going on in our writings.   To the negative karma giver, why not ID yourself, argue your points?  I gave Mac Attack no negative - I tried to discuss it instead  -  seems to work better that way....
