Sorry Guys - I was just mentioning the header on the Eagles website. Considering FC is a catholic university my knowledge of the division of the USCCA is somewhat limited.

I know one thing. We spend more time splitting hairs on this site then we do discussing anything else.

Right Guard - If you send me a message with your cell # I'll add it to my scoreboard text group.

For anyone interested, it was annouced last night at the Wash U-Earlham game that the start time for the Monday, January 7th game between Webster and Wash U, at Wash U, has been changed from 8 pm to 3 pm. A very strange time for a Monday game to be played. That is also the way it now appears on the schedule on the Wash U website. The Webster website still shows an 8pm start time.

Yjak - Is that the date of the presidential debate hosted by Wash U. ?

hopefan

perhaps all in attendance get free admission to the debate!!!   Better yet, maybe Hillary, Rudy, and Obama will have a free throw cotest at half time!!

The FU v. RMC-S has officialy been cancelled.

Cancelled or postponed?

I hate cancellations, because it's a shame when a team doesn't get the opportunity to play its full complement of 25 regular-season games. However, sometimes it's unavoidable if the two teams involved don't have any open dates in common left on their calendars.

Had RMC-S gone to play Fontbonne tonight, that would have raised some eyebrows here, since their women's team didn't make the trip to Eureka today.

My 2 cents on the RMC-S debate would be to agree with Sager on their competitiveness with D3 teams. They played at Eureka in the 2005-06 season and I thought were comparable the 2nd level of teams we played in the NIIC. Behind Aurora, but with Rockford and Benedictine. Rockford was 18-9 that year and I believe Benedictine was 21-7.

Springfield also had around 13-15 players, so it surprises me they have so few this year. Maybe a coaching change?

Greenville gets a couple of 5 points victories over Logan Chiropractic and Concordia Mo. That's hard to figure given the glowing report we got from their effort vs. North Central. This is also why there will be a spot in the top 4 free for the taking if EC, MU, BC, Mac can get things going a little bit. I'm not nearly as high on the Panthers as some others, but admit at this point they have as good of a chance as any of the others of making the conf. tournament (then again who doesn't since no SLIAC games have yet been played?)

Wow, check the time of eureka_sid's post. Must have been out late partying. My excuse is that I'm an old guy who had too much caffeine and can't sleep.

As for the question from fcnews about the reason for the time change of the game between Webster & Wash U on Jan 7th, it apparently has nothing to do with a presidential debate, as far as I can determine. Jan 7th is right during that time period when the party primaries are starting to heat up, so the debates between the candidates from each party will likely be finished.

Wash U is, however, is going to host a debate between the Democratic and Republican nominees for vice-president on October 2nd, 2008.

Yjak - had a thought of going up to Bloomington for the 4:00 game, but Casey strongly suggested it would not be a good idea...   Christmas tree night!!

ECSid - I have to agree with your coments about GC. FU's JV beat the Preacher's bad twice last year. Will need to see any injuries come into the discussion. I know that ex-Griffin Matt Reeb has not appeared yet in a boxscore and can assume maybe a soccer injury. This years race to the SLIAC Tourney may be as tight as last years. Probably for different reasons. My opinion of EC's chances are getting stronger.
