My aversion to predicting the outcomes of games is well documented. The match ups for tomorrow night are especially challenging. Anyone who can get 100% on that test is a genius -- or lucky as...

FC  Tell me the starting lineups for Webster and Fontbonne, and I'll venture a prediction!!!   Let's hope it's close, no matter what!!!!

Yjak - Just trying to start some meaningful type of conversation on here. Besides whether or not Hope's "quicks" have come or gone.

Word from the kids on campus ,with friends at Webster, say Hoggatt wil not play. I got to beleive it must be a high ankle sprain to keep him out of this game.

The layoff has been good for Parker's recovery and I would say he is about 80% back.

A shame about Hoggett - would seem to give Fontbonne a big advantage on the boards, as Robertson likely is good for 25 minutes max.  A little more pressure on Websters bench to produce on the boards.

My thought is is that Webster turns up the defence, which is pretty good already, and tries to keep this game in the 50s, 60s - if it gets higher than that, Webster, without Hoggett, may be hard pressed to keep up with the scoring pace that Fontbonne is capable of generating - IF everyone is on the court for Fontbonne.

A look at the next four games on the schedule for the SLIAC's top three preseason picks, after tonights contests.

Webster - @Prin, BC, MC, @GC
Fontbonne - Mac, @BC, @EC, Prin
Westminster - GC, @MC, EC, @Prin

Could there be some early seperation in this years SLIAC race.

Would seem that way with Westminster playing both Fontbonne and Webster late.

Westminster has played only 3 games this season, with varying results...  after winning a high scoring affair with Rhodes, they were beaten by 24 by Hendrix, and scored only 45 points.  Niether Rhodes nor Hendrix are usually in the upper half of the SCAC, so I was surprised to see such a bad loss to Hendrix.  On the other hand Hendrix is off to a 4-1 start, though against a relatively weak schedule.

One thing from the box score - Westmin basicly starts 4 guards - so one would assume a lot of perimeter shots  -  they shot 50% vs Rhodes, but only 25% vs Hendrix....

Hopefan - I agree with your take on tonights game. IF the score is in the 50's even low 60's it should spell a W for the Gorlock's. IF the game reaches the 70's I would think it meant that FU got the game into their style of ball. It is no secret that FU will not beat to many teams in a defensive battle. FU's style of defense can be described as a "speed bump". Slow them down then hit the gas.

Either way it will be fun to night.

ugh - just got called to a 4 -5:30 meeting  -  will miss some of lady's game!!!!

Tough one for the Griffins tonight.  Congrats to Webster, they played one of the best games I've seen a team play in awhile....shot lights out in the first half....exact opposite of the Griffins.  FU came out flat and was never able to recover.  It's still early though...it is Dec. 5.   Stat of the night...Justin Storandt 3-5.....in order for FU to be successful this year the big men are going to have to get some touches!
