I don't get too caught up in the spelling of names, especially the more difficult ones.  Many people have been known to misspell the word Gorlok, as "Gorlock"

BunchTime, I am sure that yours was misspelled a number of times, although at least it was quite phonetic. And you are right. Gorlok is often butchered. It must be because Lockwood is spelled the way it is, but if that were the case, then people would pick up on the Gore also and spell it Gorelock.

Age is only a number. Till you get to old to count. Hopefan's in his prime. We need to have a d3hoops poster's three point contest at the conference tourney.
I can out shoot Bunchtime, I still need to see Hopefan's skills. Last place picks up the tab at McClain's.

hopefan

give me fair warning and I would be more than happy to compete in a 3 point shot contest - of course when I played, they were only worth 2 ;)
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

BunchTime

And it begins!  ;D  I am confident I would not be picking up the tab, so let's make it happen!

Me too, Hope. There is only one gym in the SLIAC where Bunchtime would have a chance. And it ain't Webster's.

BunchTime

FC, you keep taking these low blows at my shooting; must I remind you that I shot 42% from 3 my senior year.  I was like fine wine, got better with age brother! :D

Maybe some rain and snow flurries tonight, but tomorrow, although a lot colder, is supposed to be sunny and clear all the way to Fulton, MO. With the afternoon will come the big white, newly washed machine with "furbug" plates streaking west on I-70.  8)

you know enough people read this site that we'd probably get booed during introductions  -  I'm assuming we'd be half time entertainment -

Maybe Yjak and Furbug would get out there and throw up some 2 hand set shots!!

I'd try to talk my way into the contest, but since they switched from peach baskets I just can't seem to hit 'em anymore. :P

Hopefan, that is really funny. I sure did once learn the two-hand set shot. Also how about the two-hand underhand between the legs free throw? I never liked that, but my friend shot them that way, said it was a more natural motion. He was 6'6" and I always thought he looked funny doing it, but he was high school All-State NJ in 1952.

Holy Cow.  I don't check the board for 5 hours and there are two pages of post I missed.  Just to follow up on fcnews' claim that Greenville is flying in a special guest announcer for tomorrow's Greenville/Fontbonne game is a myth.  Unless they are bringing Harry Carey in from heaven or Bill Rafferty from CBS, I'm not sure.  I know I cannot attend the game (as much as I'd like to.)  However, I will admit that I've been apart of getting the troops ready to go on the Greenville campus.  If the home stands are full, then I give the game to Greenville!

So, if you are a GC Men's or Women's basketball player...  get your peers there.

Funny story about the spelling of Gorlok. A current player (since i will no longer use names, and again i apologize for doing so earlier, it was in poor taste) ordered shoes that had the custom work from Nike that they do and he spelled it "Gorlock". The shoes are non returnable!
