JAda i read your post and then your signature and I wonder who is going to win this argument...

I think you did

It wasn't an argument, cuz I don't argue ... It was simply stating facts to keep someone's good name in tact.

I just wanted to see some numbers.  Out of all the points I posted in my 10am post that is the minor joke is getting the most play.

I got the recap from a close friend of mine that sits rather close to the action but I wanted numbers. I didn't say anthing personal about the SID so I think his (your) good name is intact.

Sorry for being an idiot.  Been one all my life.

So now we have the assumption that I am the SID ... NICE!! But you know what happens when you ASS-ume ... and yes, implying that someone isn't doing his/her job is a personal attack and not a MINOR joke

BLA i was just joking.  And if you read JAda's signature it says something to the effect of never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and then prove you wrong.  So if I was being 100% serious it would have been JAda I was calling an idiot because I said he/she won the argument.

Either way I just found it ironic you two were arguing  (for the lack of a better word) and his/her signature said something about arguing.  I didnt meant to imply anyone's an idiot.  I forgot how touchy people are in here.

Hopefully if anyone wants to call someone on here an idiot they'll just come out and say it.

Like JAda said though, I dont think you can ever really count on Sliac.org to get stuff up when you want it, so I always try to check the home team's website to see if there's something there, if I really want a box score.

As you said, moving on.

In this case I guess the away teams website had the information....

Or if you really want the numbers that fast, go to the game.

Holy smokes fellas.  Is this really worth 2 pages of posts?  Is Friday and big games are this weekend.  What are people's thoughts?

Im with ya panther...i posted my predictions.  Anyone else got any?

Panther what are you thinking about Westminster/Greenville?  Westminster typically plays well against the Panthers at home.

Some comments on the Eureka 78-69 win at Blackburn. Don't be fooled by the final score here. This was a 2-3 point game basically the whole way and the Beavers had the upper hand more often thhan Eureka did.

For those that have said before on here that Blackburn is improved...you are correct. Sykes is a very nice player and had 24 points and 11 rebs. versus Erueka. Baro is a familiar name, who has turned into a good threat from both inside and out. Doering missed the game, which may well have swung the game in Eureka's favor.

The Red Devils really gutted this one out down the stretch. Darnall hit a clutch 3 with about 4:30 left to put EC in front to stay. Bell, who had 20 points, then hit a couple from in close and Rabbe put EC ahead by 7 with a 3 with 1 minute to go. Zasada was limited by fouls and the BC defense to 6 points.  Sparse crowd on hand with the students on break. Hopefully the Blackburn students support their team when they get back because both the women's and men's teams will be tough to beat at home with a good crowd behind them.

Eureka hosts Principia Saturday, then plays 4 of the next 5 on the road.

mint - I get in trouble when I predict - witness my first of the year when I said Font -Webster wouldn't be close..... ::) ::)

I was Surprised that you see a somewhat lopsided outcome with Maryville - Font.   Maryville's lesser talent, but multitude of bodies has played the good Fonbonne teams even the last 2 years - and Tyler Saxton has given them fits - I think only if Fontbonne dominates the boards (ie a multitude of second shots)  will they win double digits-   I'm, as always, hoping for a close score....

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Greenville seems to have massive trouble traveling to the Bird Cage.  We haven't won there since Valentines day 2004.  Definitely one of those trips that I think the legs and body get tired and cramped on the long trip.  I'm not blaming the travel as the reason we've lost the last four there.  Just an observation.

Coach Mitchell has a great bunch and it should be a good game.  I want to say Greenville will bounce back and get a big well.  Hesitant though because it's in Fulton.

Give me Greenville by 2 with it being a barn burner.

Good stuff guys.  And Hope I think FT's could be the reason I guessed for that size gap, it will be a close game I'd say.  Also think Fontbonne will shoot well there at Maryville.

Webster over Spalding 82-69. It was 82-61 with about 2 minutes left and the teams emptied the benches. Turnovers kept the Gorlok reserves from putting up any points, while Spalding managed to hit several shots to close the gap.

Here's the link to the article on the Webster website, which sums up the game very nicely.
