I saw the player do the crowd hush and the three fingers. Not unwarranted after the game was over. Didn't do it till the buzzer.  Didn't see the ball thrown. Sorry just didn't see it. Could of happen though.

FC I see a commonality here.  You didn't see the starters stay in until the end of the game last week (when WC cleared its bench, FU didnt) and you didn't see the unclassy behavior from one of Fontbonne's starters in the championship game.  I am not blaming you, because when someone is enamored by a team they love, sometimes they fail to see that teams' flaws.

I am glad, however, that you said it could have happened, because from many I've talked to it has been happening too often this season from a couple of the FU guys and not only to fans.  When is it enough to just let your game do the talking?  I hope that FU can have a more positive showing up in Chicago, win or lose.

Sager - It was what we expected. At some point you have to beat someone. That's the only way to get respect. FU will come and give a full effort and let things just happen.

Jr.Mint - I know about flaws. Sorry I didn't catch all the action. My attention may well have been on something else. I was the one sticking up for the WC fan, with security. Actions are what they are. Can't say much more on it. If that's what you saw? I'm just saying I can't comment on what I didn't see.

Well it's off to Chicago tonite. Two of us are going up a noght early to set up room assignments and resturaunt reservations ( which is tough for a group of 40 ). FU will be leaving early Thursday morning. 56 passenger. Full team, coaches, families. Friday there is another charter going up with fans. We won't be the biggest group up their, but always vocal. Total traveling probably 200 - 250.

We have a NCAA scheduled shoot around at King Arena thursday at 4:30.

Let me say this about Fontbonne's chances. We would have drawn Wheaton, Wash U. or UW- Platteville, all top 5 teams. This was expected. FU does have a history against this type of team. Last year it was MH-B (top 10), FU led for 39+ minutes. This year we played Wash U even till the last 3 minutes. Turned right around a played Elmhurst (Top 5 then I believe). We played them even for the first 30 minutes, then Elmhurst made a run and got some seperation. We watched Wheaton play at Webster. Wheaton beat Elmhurst last Saturday by 4 in the CCIW Final.

This is a very experienced Griffin group. The three seniors have started over 100 games together. Add, junior Josh Branch, and the returning 4 from last years team have started 86 games together.

You have probably seen alot of 15 or 16 seeds play in March Madness D-1. We are basically a 15. These teams usually do one of two things. 1.) Just show up happy to be their and get blown out by 40. Or 2.) Have a game plan. Carry it out and give top seeds fit.

You can count on Fontbonne falling into category 2. This group still has unfinished bussines. I'm not calling and upset. I'm just saying that FU is not the BYE people are looking at.

SLIAC Fans, we'll try are darnest to make you proud.

I don't know when Hope's finished selling tickets in Holland but at this point they'll probably be returning a substantial amount.  This late in the day I doubt Hope sells their whole alotment.

Wow! - I had the impression that Hope was one of the better traveling groups. Just suprised. How about Platteville. Will the King Arena be full.

Normally yes, but the Hope women are hosting this weekend for the first time in a very long time.    Not as much excitement around this men's team as years past either.

Hope's women are hosting this weekend back in Holland, fcnews. I'm sure that that'll keep the numbers down for Hope from what they'd normally be, but there will undoubtedly still be a lot of people who'll come around the lake for that game, plus Hope has a large Chicagoland alumni base.

I don't know much about how UW-Platteville travels these days. I've only seen the Pioneers once in the past few seasons (in a game @ Elmhurst), and they had minimal fan support. But that was a weeknight in December, not a weekend in March.

Wheaton starts its spring break this weekend. The local support for Wheaton is fairly modest (as a nationally-based school, Wheaton's alumni base is scattered all over the country, and the school doesn't get the townie support of a Hope or an Illinois Wesleyan or a WIAC school), but I'm sure that the hosts will have the largest contingent regardless.

Will Friday night sell out? Who knows?
