As far as Hopefan schmoozing with the Bears fans, not suprised. This guy needs to run for public office. ;D

I think hopefan should go on Survivor. That would be a true test of his political skills.  ;D

Back from Wheaton....  anyone for a trip to Salem?????   Yjak made it through the floods of last spring!!!!!

Hopefan- If you promise not to vote any Bears off the island, maybe you can get a seat on the Wash U charter.  ;D

As of this moment, no SLIAC SIDs have cast a ballot for D3hoops.com All-Region. Deadline is tonight.

Normally I would send an email to the conference office (I already have) but since the SIDs seem to frequent this page I thought I would try a direct appeal.

That is just pathetic as Fontbonne's Brian Fogerty merits All Region consideration, and perhaps, if the little guys are considered, All American consideration.   As I think back to the games I saw this weekend, there was no inside play that matched Fogerty's offensive game.....

Contacted Coach McKinney in Florida. He and the SID are traveling with the spring teams down there on Spring Break. Hope they get the info in on time. I agree Hopefan, Brian does deserve consideration. Hope they can get the info in.

One ballot is on it's way. This appears to be a discussion for the next conference meetings. If schools that know your players first hand don't vote, we as a conference have no excuse. The athletes are the ones that lose.

FC - another one from Eureka College is coming.....

Hopefan - Your statement above raised my interest in just what kind of numbers Brian did put up this year.

In 27 games he had 19 double - doubles and in 11 of those games he had 20 or more points.

Not to bad of a season for an undersized power forward. Even better when you consider he was at least double teamed every night.

Looking at last years midwest all region team, you have alot of the same faces back this year. Fogerty was third team last year. This year he has better numbers and a second POY. But, there are an awful lot of good players on the block.

Yes Hopefan, this is huge. You take a look at some of the players he's in with, what an honor.

To all the SID's who voted, thanks for recognizing a kid from a small conference. It was well deserved. In the fact that Brian put in more work for his game then anyone I've seen. Again, thanks to the voters!!!!

In the wake of the great reward Brian Fogerty just received, I've done a little investigation. The following are past SLIAC players who have been honored with selection to the D3Hoops All Region Team.

Brian Fogerty (FU) '09 1st team

Brian Fogerty (FU) '08 3rd team

Derek Suttles (Mac) '04 2nd team

Drew Logan (BC) '02 3rd team

Does anyone know how to get into the summer league that some of the SLIAC schools participate in? The Greenville guys are trying to look into it, but need a bit more info?
