Just ran through a little scenario to see what kind of chances Greenville had of at least finishing tied for 4th  -  while it's still possible, it's highly unlikely   - they have too many tough games left.... assuming they lose to Westmin, they'd basicly have to sweep thru Blackburn at home, Mac at Mac, and eureka at home.....   I don't think they can do it... if they did, they would have a chance  if Webster loses to Westmin and either Eureka or Spalding.    I think our final four is pretty well locked.

By the way..... had a first time conversation with the SLIAC Commish last night -  found we both had some eastern roots, did a lot of talking regarding D3 and SLIAC philosophy  -   very enjoyable....

Forgot to mention the turn out of Former Sliac players wednesday nite at Fontbonne. Buxton, Warnecke and I believe it was Sodderman in the Westminster group. Jones and McKoy from MU. And, quite a few Fontbonne players. Saw Storandt enjoying the game with FCNews. Good o' FC. He was definately the biggest "HOMER" on this board. Diehard follower. I miss his and Hopefan's exchanges. But, I would agree it may be best for him to go into early D3Hoops retirement.

Rumor heard: Any truth to the word that Jarrett McKoy may be wearing purple and gold next year?

Eureka Webster says final already on D3 hoops scoreboard? (Quick game?)    Eureka wins big

Greenville up by 9 on westmin with 11 left    if that holds, Greenville back in it.......

Westminster shows again they are the class of the conference    ...  come back to beat Greenville in OT

Hopefan - The class of the conference, has just stumbled through a two game week against two bottom four teams. Going 1-1. Could of been 0-2.

Their early big lead in conference race, could have them a little less focused then they need to be.

Suprised by the way Eureka beat Webster. They seem to be stumbling towards the tourney.

Now is a time for the top teams to get on a run. As to be peaking at the right time.

Has anyone else noticed Webster's Nick Jones started and only played five minutes? Injury?

Yes, one of the first things I noticed. Also John Ortwerth had only 14 minutes - have to wonder what is happening.  :o

Game  -  tough to win on the road, Greenville had everything riding, and Westmin comes back to win in OT after being down at least nine in the last 10 minutes...   I'll still give them 'class of the conference'

Stat of the day...

Westminster's Ky Millard, goes 1 for 7 , 4 points......   then my eye moves on ...  13 Assists

AMAZING

Also   how did Grenville lose?   Painfully obvious... they shoot 39% from the field, 2 for 9 from the line for the game.....   the gang that couldn't shoot straight.....

Hopefan all I'm saying is Westminster SLIAC Conference Champ, #8 ranked Midweat team, and the team we're hanging our hat on (to break the NCAA ice). Should not lose to the #7 team and need overtime to beat #6, in one of the worst conferences. Even if on the road.

Only having seen them once (Fontbonne loss) I was expecting a lot better team. They had beat Fontbonne by 30 at home. Fontbonne's gym is not a 46 point home court advantage.

Does Westminster really have a chance to win "a" NCAA game? Are we getting our hopes to high? The win at Elmhurst showed they could go on the road. And, I know they are down this year.

hopefan

Who is getting their hopes too high....  I haven't seen anyone predict a SLIAC win in the tourney this year, Westmin or not...    My opinion is that except for the nice depth taking them 8 deep, Westmin really is not at the level Fontbonne was the last 3 years, and Fontbonne wasn't able to get that first one....

I guess I was pointing one finger at myself. I had high hopes. I heard Westminster had the size to match up. They beat Elmhurst on the road. Is walking through their conference and then the regional ranking. I had my hopes pretty high. Just would like to see a draw without a #1 in front of it.

My Bad. I thought this would be a better team to get a good draw with a only one in region loss. Just looking to put a W in the SLIAC column.
