Westminster down 10 with 40 seconds left. They couldnt hit any shots the last 2 minutes and had to start fouling. I think WC can be proud of their performance. Only being down 5 with 2:30 to play on the road vs.a D1 team is nothing to be ashamed of. Vislay finished with 19, Crawford with 14.

Hopefan I take real exception to  your remarks about former FU players. Your an observer. THAT'S ALL.You know all that talk always about no bench ? The 25 plus minute players beat the field. CHECK THE RECORDS. There's plenty of gougers and pokers in this confernce. I don't think you'll see those guys on Mc Kinney's squads.Your opinion doesn't win games for these kids. Their hard work and determination does. Give it up junoir,your not going to ESPN. Teams build and fall with graduation etc. Give the ones credit who earned it.  It's only D-3 and we like our big fish in a small pond. I really don't think it matters to these kids what you opinion of them is. They know  that it was their effort and a little bit of luck ( good or bad ) that got them to the dance or not. What kind of player where you ?

Wow... What have I missed?  I go away for a couple of weeks because of the holidays and the first thing I see is this..... I feel a lot of stress out of some of these posts. What is going on and where is this coming from Dist. Obser.

There are some idiots, like Alwaysoutthere, on this board who know nothing about college basketball.

Hopefan's thoughts come from a world of basketball experience and a real love of D3 hoops, especially in the SLIAC. He is a knowledgeable, fair, and unbiased commentator whose remarks are almost always right on target.

If you disagree with him, back your opinions up with some facts, not some incoherent drivel that shows a lack of knowledge and out-of-control emotions. It would also be helpful if here was an attempt at using some semblance of proper grammar.

I know how old hopefan is. I don't know how old you are. I'm guessing he's probably twice your age but I'd give you 10-1 odds he'd still kick your butt in any game of hoops you choose to play.

I have NO idea what triggered the remarks as I have done nothing but praise those former players since their graduation, and have held them up as a group whose skills will not be met by any current SLIAC group, -  that is what triggered my attempt at a humorous response  -  I found wayoutthere's post, well,  way out there. 

Anyway, it is not the type post that needs to get anyone riled up -as St. Louis antihero Mark McGuire said - "It's in the past"

Glad to see the new year starting out on a non-controversial, non-confrontational note -- well, almost. While some people like a Maury Povich Show type dynamic on these boards, I think most prefer playing it straight, talking basketball, and having civilized disagreements when disagreement occurs.
