I am a distant observer - seldom commenting but usually reading and I must say if I could give you karma RED...you'd have at least 10!

Thank you, my man!  I still tninking Dennis and Kevin  Slaten together would become the dynamic duo of St. Louis Sports talk BS! The over and under on how long before fists start flying would be 3 minutes! Come on Dennis, u got a better offer? Trying to give you some shine while pumping up the karma.

Amazed at your fascination with my employment. Waiting to hear what news you got from the Commishes office on your questions regarding Dioum.

Know where has it been said that Dioum was found in Baltimore. Except in your post. He is a friend of Buford, Woods and Fleming. He has been in the St. Louis area pursuing projects in the music bussiness.

I'm sure your report from the Commish office will also shine more light.

This week's schedule starts tonight with Webster going over to Prin....  was thinking of seeing this, but the work schedule is just too busy... and I'm likely going to Westmin tomorrow to see Mac at Westmin... hopefully Yjak will take the river road tonite and can tell us abut the game... no question in my mind about the outcome.. Webster should romp

Tomorrow Spalding takes the long trip to Eureka from Louisville..  approx 320 miles!!.. that's a heck of a trip on a tuesday night, and has to rule out class time Tuesday and Wednesday... all for a game between a team ineligible for the conference tourney, and a team winless in conference...  Spalding will win thanks to their great depth....

Greenville goes to BC....  Greenville has to look at this as a must win, but any trip to the pillbox in Carlinville is dangerous... I think Greenville will come out running after being brought to a halt by Webster's zone, and probably push 100 points... but Blackburn might too....

Mac at Westmin... the first time these teams met, it was a tremendously entertaining game, and if I remember right, it was even more entertaining for me to get home from Jacksonville...   This time, I just think Westmin has matured more as a team, while Mac struggles to find its best lineup... some of the guys on Mac just aren't performing at a consistant level... good stats one night, nothing the next....  McClelland can't do it himself...  Westmin wins, maybe by double digits.....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

A long day of Chemo is now done. Only 12 more weeks. We have a golf trip planned to St. Andrews in June. We may not be in playing shape, but It's a beautiful place. And, I'll be the designated walker, so Dad can have a few pints. ;D

I couldn't care less if Dioum plays or not, so I ain't calling no commish.

Unless he is a natuarlized citizen, to have a student visa he has to be a full time student. He is only eligable the first 10 semesters he is a full time student. He has been over here for 8 years, and the paper trail seems to say he has played five years, with two of those in Canada and tree at two differenct JUCOs in the US. How can he be a junior?

Unless as you say, he has older brother wit the same name.

Really? Really? You have spent all this time and research and you don't want the truth? I'm just saying.

Re done. Tough day.

Webster 67 Prin 57

1) Webster was lucky to win. Haven't seen a box score, but it will be obvious why when you see it.
2) My player of the game -- Hollis Edwards for making three huge shots at critical moments in the 2nd half. Not to take away from a few other timely hoops by several others.
3)Suggested nickname for Jarrod Husky -- Timex "because he..." You know the rest.

unfortunately no box to be seen anywhere early the next morning, though a lengthy article on Webster sight.... it doesn't hint about any 'reason'.... but Webster was down 13 at half with 21 points!!!!!
:o :o :o

anxious to see box score with regards to Yjak's comment

Could Red be right and we'll see a large free throw discrepancy....

or did Webster just not come to play and we'll see horrendous shooting percentage, or a large number of turnovers?

Or did Zimmerman have a huge game?

Yjak has built up the suspence.. along with the lack of a boxscore anywhere.....

funny, the ladies game box made the St Louis Post today, and I though Willie Trimble REALLY does it all... as Trimble was listed as scoring 2 points for the Gorlocks ladies....   I did not realize, (and I apologize to the young lady), that indeed Hillary Trimble is a frosh guard on the Gorlocks ladies team... lets hope Hillary develops into the player that Willie is!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

the boxscore is now up on Principia site... and I think Yjak was referring to the opposite of what Red thought...Webster shot 31 free throws to Prin's 7... Webster only shot 55% from the line... but that was enough with the large difference in attempts...

Interesting.. over half of Prin's shots are 3 pt shots and they shot poorly.. 29%....  and they only get 7 free throws... that zone is making life very difficult for opponents!!!!

18 offensive rebounds by Webster also had to be a big help!!!!

A win is a win, up on the bluffs. Never have seen a single person when driving through Elsa.

It was really just a dreadful first half offensively for Webster with some of the worst passes I've seen them make all season. And really not a very good start to the 2nd half either, falling behind by 17 before turning things around. I'm frankly surprised that the box score shows only 12 Webster turnovers. I'd have guessed 20.

And it wasn't the zone that made life difficult for Prin. In fact that's what made it easy. They just kept passing until they found an open man and they are better shooters in their own gym than I've seen them be at Webster, which is to be expected. They also played very smart in the second half with a lead and used a lot of shot clock on their possessions. Switching to man-to-man is what got Webster going. In the first meeting Webster played man defense the whole game. The switch to the zone came in the Wash U game, after the first Prin game.

I also can't believe that Webster shot 39% for the game. Seemed more like 30. All those offensive rebounds  hopefan mentioned resulted in a lot of missed layups and second offensive rebounds, followed by a Prin foul.

Again, I think Webster was lucky to get out with a W.
