fair enough. i get tired of athletes from other schools being fair game w/ dennis and  being called out by name, but anything not tossed unerhanded about Fontbonne and he starts pouting and playing the sympathy card.

Just leep pounding away Redhead. That dead horse will take out alot of your frustrations. Again, as a fan, you have the luxury of critiquing how a situation is handled. Your not a coach, with the kids futures in his hand. You do not know the full extent of what followed the "worst actions ever witnessed". You didn't even get the shouting part right. You took to comments and made one. The initial disagreement was between two players and ended with the player / coach involvement.

Bench warmer, I believe, would be handled the same way. The womens team I can't comment on. Whether you like it are not, once you kick a player off the team you have no more control or interaction with the young man. You lose any chance of helping the player work through whatever caused the issue. You've given up on the young man.

Your suggestion was to arrest the player. Really? For improper language? Then what?

As close as you are to the FU players, why don't you ask Daniel yourself what he got out of his year at SLU. And, I've been to every practice this year. Thirty minutes. Some days I wish. But Sorry your wrong, Again.

RedHead - Before I start my week and put your usual Sunday rant to bed, I've noticed this time thru you've taken to using my given name. Dennis. My User name is clearly posted and you used it regularly your first time thru. Your continued use of my first name, which very few people use, leads me to wonder if this isn't just personal? You got a beef about the way I post?

If your story is true. You've been to Dad's games in the mid 80's and your attendance continues. Very few people can say that. I'm not hard to find. Why don't you be a man and approach ME with your problems with me? That's what most men do at our age. Unless you just enjoy entertaining the masses with your posts.

I don't mind your questioning the decisions Dad makes during a game. That's being a fan. I've dealt with those my whole life. When you question how Dad handles his players personally, I have a problem with. Cause as successful as he has been on the court, he takes more pride in how he's helped the young people off the court and the relationships formed.

word on the street is changes are on the way.

Well eventually they have to. I don't see another 50 yrs of coaching in his future.

Be careful driving this week All. See ya at the games.

Interesting fact. Since SLIAC Tourney returned in it's current format. Each seed has the same record in first round games 3-3. I guess seeding isn't that important. It's peaking at the right time. And, getting a liitle luck fall your way.

WUPHF

Am I crazy or did two more posts just disappear?  In the SLIAC thread, you got to read them while there are hot otherwise they maybe disappear before your eyes.

I deleted a post of mine as I received a PM that it could create problems..... I disagreed, but respectfully deleted it....please forget about the content.......
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Content forgotten.  I know I have a reputation of bringing up non-SLIAC content but I did notice that Maryville got its fifth win of the season over Missouri S&T on Saturday.  That is better than I expected, though I still question the move.

Webster is scheduled to play Missouri S&T on Tuesday, though the weather forecast makes it appear doubtful....  Will provide for an interesting comparison... I remain dismayed over Maryville's decision... it was so much more fun having the rivalry of 3 St Louis schools in the SLIAC....

Red - you were amusing but it obvious that you are a product of rumor mills and have never played the telephone game...what actually was said or done by the time it gets around usually isn't very close to what happened.

A perfect example of what was seen and not what happened was just posted concerning the FU - PC game - ease to do because sometimes you think you know what is going on....

You also seem very angry that perhaps you did not get your chance to shine - You would benefit from the guidance of Coach McKinney....

I leave the board for a few days and I miss out on lots of drama!  Not too disappointed I missed it...   ;D

WC is struggling but I look for them to right the ship this week.  I expect them to take care of Fontbonne and then go to Greenville and get a big W.

My upset of the week is Greenville at Eureka.  Trap game.

I think Webster will handle Mac easily after Mac travels to Louisville and to Concordia earlier in the week.

I have a hard time seeing how WC falls to the 4 spot in this race.  I think GC or Mac are going to lose at least one conference game each this week.  GC must beat WC at home in my opinion or they won't catch them.

I've seen MO S&T play at William Jewell this year.  They've got one kid that's a stud but other than that I didn't see much.  Good win for Maryville though.  I don't think a SLIAC team would beat S&T, WU or WC at home on a good night, maybe....

Eureka is 0-10?  What am I thinking?

And won 1 game, against Lincoln Christian?  What does that say about LC?

Might have to change my prediction

Mac
Spalding L  7-4
Concordia W
Webster L  7-5

Greenville
Eureka W  7-3 (postponed possibly?)
WC L  7-4

Westminster
Fontbonne W 8-3 (postponed possibly?)
Greenville W 9-3

Webster
Missouri S&T (canceled possibly?)
Mac W 10-1

If somehow Fontbonne could just eke out a win at Westminster, they'd be right back in it as they should be Eureka Saturday.

Lest we get a wrong idea, I believe BLUE is 'predicting' Tuesday and Wednesday games will be postponed or Cancelled... likely a good prediction, but checking various sites, there has not yet been any announced cancellation or postponement....

hopefan it's a shame you didn't make it to Spalding Saturday because I would have liked to hear your story about that game.  Anybody get to the other games? Saw that Webster only beat Eureka by 5....that surprised me.

Yes, only predictions.

Question to the general readership... if a fan, a knowledgeable fan, has a reasonable thought that a player has a questionable eligibility status, what should they do?

1) nothing, it's none of the fan's business
2) yap about it on this site, accomplishing nothing
3) report it to the school's AD
4) report it to the SLIAC commissioner
5) call the NCAA and describe the situation to verify that it is outside of the rules, then proceed to number 3 or 4
6) keep it to themselves so as not to embarrass the player and create waves at the school....

In response to this question from yesterday.....in my opinion if the fan is reasonably sure then I would think they should do #5 to verify and then call the schools AD #3 and then if not satisfied with the answer proceed to #4...again just my opinion.
