Not getting the controversy you were looking for, Hope.......

I would suggest looking at the head to head between Medley and Woods.

Oh, these are based on who started games? OK. Your list.

I hit the 600 page mark for OUR room. Wheeeeeee!!!

Denny,   Have to look at the entire conference season to date, not one or two games......  but... sounds like controversy to me!!!!

on another note..hoping for strong performance from Fontbonne at Eureka... it will serve to encourage me to go over to Fulton on Monday... I'd like to see ladies game Monday, but if Men's game seems to be over before it starts, I won't be too enthused...  If the Griffs show some life on Saturday, one would think they'll really be up for Westmin!!!

I take that back. You clearly stated GC's Brown was a bench player. Now you have me confused. Easily done these days.

Practice at 2:30 then off to Peroria. These bus rides are getting to be to much for Pops. Plus to many germs with a bus full of kids.

Safe travels All.

What kind of controversy were you looking for? It's your selections. Can't see where controversy is needed.

Was looking at some stats on the NCAA website and learned that thru games of 1/30/11 Webster ranks #34 in D3 in scoring defense holding opponents to 61.7 ppg. Also ranks 52nd in opponents field goal % at 40.0%. Westminster is the 2nd SLIAC team to show up in both categories.

On the flip side, Greenville ranks #27 in scoring offense at 81.2 ppg. Next SLIAC team in this category is Blackburn at 72.2 ppg. First SLIAC team to showup in fg% is Webster at a modest #90 and 46.1%

Yes Sir. Flip the switch, turn down the furnace and lock the door. It's going to be a long 6 games remaining.

Dioum played outstanding going for 31 and Hamilton was a warrior. We had four regulars go 2-25, can't win when you can't shoot. And, EC knew a problem sticking it in the hoop. EC played the entire game in an ungodly deep sagging zone. Smart move.

Wagner is a man. The EC kids acted like they won the Tourney. Good for them they deserved it.

Had to be Grandpa tonite and babysit with grandma....  the big piece of news out of the Webster  - Mac game is there is a potential serious injury to Nick Jones - went flying for a layup and got contacted, landed awkwardly, and may have sprained/broken his shooting hand... didn't play again, had it iced and wrapped.... this would just be a darned shame for Nick and Webster....  remember he broke his hand last year and missed games too..... guess we'll find out in due time...  Steffon Whitingham on crutches, the bench is getting very short....

Willie Trimble 2 on 1 break, fakes the behind the back pass in full stride, defense goes for it, brings it back and gets the layup......WHAT A PLAY

Looking at the Fontbonne box... Denny ... some things look awfully strange...  Woods 4 minutes... Thomas 4 minutes....  Sheetz 0 for 6, 2 rebounds, 28 minutes....  while Wagner and Lessen appear to dominate......  hard to understand.....
Hamilton and Dioum did put up some great numbers... certainly appears that those two will be the core and leadership coming into next year

Hopefan - look at JT's #'s compared to last year. Observe stats last few games. Senior Swoon? He does miss 2.5 practice a week to an internship. Last game Sheetz shot well and had like 9 rbs.?

Fu was up by 8 in first half. Poor passes trying to dtivr thru a zone. Led to a halftime tie. Then the deepfreeze. Look down the stat line. Nobody could hit a barn door.

Sad moment: Fleming gets undercut, no call. Get's up looks at the ref and goes the other. Whistle "T". When Ref finally comes to bench to explain he says used the F word. Lisch and Hamilton both witness and says no way. Not in this young man's vocabulary. But we've had this Ref for 7 games this year. Important play and this young man doesn't deserve the harassment or 4 th foul. You got that word flyin as a verb, noun and adjetive all the time.

Curiosity (not that it matters now), check # of FT's EC shot 1st half to 2nd.
But that didn't effect shooting.

Excited about the upcoming week with opportunity to see the teams I've missed...  Blackburn at Webster on Wednesday and Spalding at Webster on Friday.....

Saturday presents some interesting options on which venue to visit...
Spalding at Fontbonne  (well... the ladies game should be good)
Westmin at Blackburn    (another good ladies game, and BC men are usually very competitive in the matchbox)
Greenville at Mac...   best matchup...

Well, the Super Bowl is over, my beloved Steelers were defeated after a great comeback, and it's time to get my mind back on D3hoops.... that's not to say I wasn't watching for posts yesterday, and I caught Big Red trolling numerous times.... but no activity....

One thing I've already decided... think I'll have to hit Greenville at Mac on Saturday....while ALL the SLIAC teams are favorites, I think these are my 2 'more favorites' at this time of the this season because in my mind, they are in the underdog role to Webster/Westmin/Spalding...  should be a fun scrappy game to watch Saturday... just wish Mac could elevate their ladies game to being competitive (though one new face on the team 'Dakota' had a decent game at Webster).... more fun to watch 2 good games than one...

I've gotta watch my speed on 267......

Well sorry "Big Hope". ::) The only discussion I'm interested in is the impact of the loss of Nick Jones for Webster. And, we don't have a true feel for the injury until more info comes out.

If it's an injury that 3 weeks of rest will allow him to return, then no problem. Maybe a loss along the way to Hosting isn't the worst thing. Those long winning streaks seem to add extra pressure.

If he is unable to return. Then "Houston we have a Problem". Jones is a huge factor on the floor, whether he is scoring or not. Drew Moore and Huskey would have to take their game to another Level.

I guess we'll have to wait and hope that it's not as bad as it sounds.

GC Panther 01

Well looks like GC missed a prime opportunity Saturday in a close one with Westminster.  Team seems to be on the verge of a run alot and just doesnt get over the hump.     If the stars will align correctly, I'll be at the GC v Mac game this coming Saturday.

Well Hopefan I tossed out a topic for discussion. No comment? Unpopular topic? biggest news of the weekend.   ???
