Thanks Yjak... I couldn't check it as the D3hoops archives haven't yet been completely restored on their new system....  my mistake Darryl, though I was really thinking of Webster's poor performance in the SLIAC tourney since it had been reinstituted....   Maybe this will be the year, but, should they get by Greenville in the 1-4 game, there should be a fantastic championship game versus either Westmin or Mac.
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Hope, no problem - I was assuming you meant in recent history, since as Yjak pointed out -  they have not made it to the dance since the reinstitution of the SLIAC Conference tourney.  If my memory serves me, I believe that they made it in the 99-00 year under coach Randall and again in the 01-02 year under coach Kaneshiro.

Will the tourney games be broadcast either on video or audio over the internet?

Sorry -- we're working on them but I am also trying to make the pages more informative at the same time, so it's taking a little longer. Have made some progress on that in the past couple weeks and hope to have them all up by tourney time.

Totally understood, Pat...  that archive is a tremendous resource for the hardcore D3hoops fan.... I tried to find the info (brackets from all prior years) on the internet last night and it doesn't appear to be out there anywhere else...  found all prior champs in a couple of places, but nothing approaching total tournament fields.....

Blue, Webster broadcasts home games, and they broadcast from Fontbonne, but I'm not sure if they'll do the non-Webster game on Friday, nor do I know if they'll do the ladies game in Fulton....  I couldn't find anything on the Webster page, though there is a link to livestats....

Congrats to Spalding, Webster and Westminster for being conference champions this year.  Great season by all three.  Things would be a lot more interesting if Spalding was post-season eligible but that's the way it goes.

Coach Mitchell deserves a lot of credit for the success of his teams the last half decade.  He's had a lot of good players and he's taught them how to win at the college level.

A friend of mine (you know who you are MothBalls) did the leg work on this but I wanted to pass it along.  This has to be one of the most successful four year runs in SLIAC history.  Also this year is overly-impressive with the loss of two all-conference seniors from last year (Crawford, Millard) and the loss of another all conference performer to injury (Kovach).

2007-08   17-8   (12-4) T2  (loss first round)
2008-09   20-7   (12-4) T1  (Loss Tourney Champ)
2009-10   20-8   (13-3) 1st (Tournament Champ, loss to Wash U)
2010-11   16-9   (13-3) T1  (?)
Overall     73-32 (50-14)

Hopefully WC can add to the resume this year with another tournament championship and then just maybe a victory in the national tournament.

Blue... forgot to mention I found a former Westmin player here at work.... think I've got him talked into going over to Webster on Friday... name is Josh Zastrow, he played only the 2001-02 season but I see he was an all conference player... I think he left a year or 2 before you got to Westmin......

Good to see you back Dennis. According to the FC website: women's volleyball 4th coach in 4 years, Women's soccer first year coach, Women's Lacrosse 4th coach in 4 years, men's tennis, 3rd coach in three years, women's tennis, third coach in three years, field hockey, third coach in three years (and they haven't even been able to field a team the last two), Mens track, new coach, Women's track new coach, Men's Cross Country new coach, Women's Cross Country, new coach, Men's Bowling, new coach, and women's bowling, new coach.

I couldn't find enough details on how many assistants have come and gone.

Keeping shooting us those facts Dennis. Readers on here know you would never embellish anything!

Good luck to all 4 teams.

Webster - My Horse. Can they get Coach Bunch his trip?
WC - A repeat so Jake Visalay get's to play this year?
MC - Coach Creale and the SLIAC's hottest player CJ Mcellenad.
GC - Coach Barber have fun and enjoy this first one.

Tom Hart sat with Dad and I and listened to the FU v WU game on the internet. Campus station anounced that all 3 games at Webster will be broadcasted. Fun couple of guys.

Thank you to the Webster team and fans for the slight delay Tuesday nite. It was a class act as always. I will miss the comradery with Chris Bunch. A special relationship was formed there (Hope WU pays to keep him). Coach Creale is good for Mac. Thanks for the use of the couch Coach. Terry Loague and Coach Mitchell make WC a great oasis. Matt see you on the golf course. Prin you have made a huge mistake! And, Greenville. If it was one, two, or three OT's. It's what happens after. Coach Falkner and Barber are very special people. GC community is out standing. And, thank you to the two young ladys I met @ Webster, who were responsible for making 800 ribbons with 18 hr notice.

Always been accused of saying (being) to much NAIA. It will be awhile before I'll attend a SLIAC game for awhile (unless I need to make a drop in for a player receiving an award). Maybe catch a couple of Mo. Baptist games in their new gym Great days in the old one. Hopefan I really wish you get a Webster to Hope draw on Selection Monday.
Thanks Pat.

True: New X-Country / Track coach. New Tennis coach. New Women's Lacrosse coach. New Bowling Coach Iggy Strobe 590 the Fan. Men's bowling and field hockey are club sports.

Four New coaches: All part time coaches. Hard to keep in these sports. Coach Almany had a good run in x-country and track. And, you were talking Bowling. :D ;D

Enjoy the tourney All.

Webster has to be the favorite at home.  They'll be tough to beat.

Vislay will be playing for his team first, motivated by playing in the national tourney second.  I'm sure he has a lot of pride and will be ready to go.  That ruling last year seemed bush league to me but that's the way it goes.

Coach Creal has really turned it around up at Mac.  Good to see them doing well yearly.  I expect them to be ready for WC.

Coach Barber was always a great guy to play against, class act.  Happy to see him in the mix.  Maybe he can make some noise and score the upset!  It'll be tough at Grant.  Bunch will have his group ready.

Dennis has to be the Brett Farve of the SLIAC. At least the third farewell speech in the last two weeks. Dennis, don't leave, we miss ya!

Gregory Sager

C'mon, Redhead, are you going to ever contribute anything to this room besides constantly goading Dennis? It's really gotten old and tired.

You strike me as someone who has seen a lot of St. Louis basketball and could add a lot of perspective here. Too bad that instead you've chosen to waste your time and ours with these senseless and ridiculously repetitive attacks on Dennis and his father.
