Well my source was right on McAfee and Trimble. Just missed Cutsinger.

Yjak - Your son landing on his feet, with no student loans, puts him way up on the game. I'm sure kudos go to Mom and Dad, also.

Just FYI, there is a Division III Volleyball posting board on this site, too.

Unfortunately, there is no evidence of any SLIAC fans over on the volleyball boards.  And, I am doubt anyone is talking about Greenville in Men's Soccer or Principia in Women's Soccer on the soccer boards.  This is as close as it gets to a SLIAC sports board.

The big question is, WUH, will Mac be able to present a challenge to Wash U in the season opener next Tuesday...

WUH, hope you didn't take offense at my comment. I put it out there as information for all. I did some posting on the volleyball site a couple of years ago and basically only one person responded. Same with soccer a few years ago as well. More people are interested in football and basketball, which is understandable.

I apologize for the terse response.  I did not mean to sound that way.  But I have become fond of watching the SLIAC compete in sports other than basketball over the last two or three years and I wish there was somewhere to discuss.  Or rather someone to discuss.

Unfortunately, I will miss the game but I am getting excited for Webster/Washington University.  A colleague from Webster and I are hosting a training institute for a group of visitors from overseas that work to promote American higher education.  Part of the training is to give them a taste of college life and they will be here during the first week in December.  The plan is to get them all pumped up about the rivalry and then let them loose on the Field House.  I was thinking about having a pre-game tailgate party with the Bomb Squad but, more than anything, I am afraid it will cost too much.

Mac loses to SIUE 69-55  very similar score to Blackburn - SIUE game... though SIUE had some of their missing players back vs Mac....   I didn't get over to see it... Key Stat off the boxscore is Brady Slagle was Mac's leading scorer with 10 as well as their leading rebounder.....

Fontbonne loses at Mo Western 69-55, but stays even for 30 minutes... good showing .. led in scoring by a new name, Yada Demisse, a sophomore out of Las Vegas Nevada...???  He had 15, with 3 for 9 from 3 point land....   Dioum and Hamilton got a lot of minutes....  I found an indication on his HS website that DeMisse was headed to Fontbonne out of high school in 2010, but don't remember that name playing last year, maybe it was JV only?, or maybe he sat out a year......

Westmin loses to Central Mo....74-49..... ugly box score... 4 familiar names start and a lot of new names play.... I don't think this is much of an indicator as to how this team will play in conference....I notice Dan Hoenstein didn't play???

Disappointed that Sliac.Org has not yet posted the results of the preseason Coach's poll.... Would be fun to get their take on the potential finish spots in the standings and comment on it... The meeting was at least two weeks ago....

My guess is that we will see it tomorrow or Tuesday a.m. They were probably waiting for the fall sports season to close -- which it has now that all SLIAC teams are out of fall NCAA tournaments.

Prin's roster is finally up, and they too have lost a key player... Stanly Beal is not on the roster, along with Jeremy Gilman... Beal was an exciting, active player who was capable of scoring.... Prin has only 9 players on their roster, and very little size....  Angle, McDonald, Hasseinmardi will be the nucleus....

Prin has an exhibition game tonite at Maryville.... and interestingly a 1:00 opener on Saturday hosting the system... Grinnell... May have to catch that, then come over for the Webster tourney doubleheader on Saturday night...  Grinnell against a Prin squad low in numbers could score a Bunch of points...

GC Panther 01

Saw today that GC added a Nov 22 game at D1 Western Illinois University. I will do my best to be in attendance for that one.  Same WIU squad that got everything it wanted from Illinois College last week.  Will be interesting to see if the outcome is similar.

Thanks for the heads up on the Greenville Schedule.... ;)
