Yes, definitely agree the chances of a tie for first are very slim. I'm still rooting for it though.

I wish I had more to offer, but I haven't been able to make it to as many games this year as last. I enjoy reading and following the boards, though.

Prin up by 9 on Greenville at half... Prin playing with confidence....  but loses by 38.... :'(

Yjak said the potential finishes are a bit confusing... let me reword it from the perspective of his favorite team, Webster...

Webster controls  its own destiny.. they have Fontbonne, Blackburn and Prin left....
If they win All games, they are IN, no matter what else happens
If they lose one game, (they aren't going to lose to Prin and better not lose to Blackburn, so this assumes they lose to Fontbonne tonight), they have to root for a Mac loss to Eureka next Tuesday.. that would put Mac and Webster in a tie for 4th and Webster has the tiebreaker... If Mac beats Eureka after a Webster loss, Webster would be out, the only team with 6 losses....

You forgot at Blackburn on Saturday. And it still makes my head spin.

I watched the video of the first half and Prin was dominating.. running the court, hitting 3's etc... the video never came back on after half time... I'd imagine that Greenville kept on full court pressure and substituted liberally and poor Prin ran out of gas quickly....

Good Evening Mr. Sellmeyer,
Where can we find your article? There are a few diehards on this message board. I'm sure Hopefan was a big help. He has the best understanding of the tie-breakers and has seen the most games. Thanks for your interest. Good Luck.

FU made it interesting for WU. Actually a free throw away from stealing one. Good Luck to all the teams down the stretch!!!

FYI... Hopefan did attempt to reach Josh, emails went back and forth, but schedule conflicts prohibited us from talking prior to his deadline.... I was hoping we might chat at last night's game, but he had other commitments and couldn't attend.....

Lots to write about last night's game.. hard to know where to start.... Both teams 'lost it' at the end of Regulation... Webster with an ultimately silly reach in foul with 2 seconds on the clock after missing a game winning shot and fontbonne rebounds....  Fontbonne loses it by missing the FT..
So in OT, someone has to win, and Cody Bradfish's steal and 3 point play tie it and Ahmad Smith's jumper gives Webster the lead and the win....
I guess I should apologize for getting very upset at several Webster supporters who took exception with the officiating at the end of regulation, spewing obsenities at the floor and at those around them, finger pointing etc... thanks to Rob, Will, and Tom for keeping me out of trouble....  2 of the 3 officials who worked last night had worked the Wash U - Rochester game on Sunday and over in the UAA room, I referred to them as the best crew in the St Louis area... I saw nothing that changed my mind last night.... Given that I have no pony in the SLIAC horse race, it's pretty easy for me to be objective, but maybe not so for a rabid fan of one team or another... Hey, you reach in and swipe at the ball and catch the hand or arm, it's a foul, whether there is 10 minutes left or 2 seconds....

Given the race for tourney spots, all conference etc etc, I'm really surprised not just a little more activity here... Guess eveyone is watching Mizzou and the Blues..  Boring.....

Players, Coaches, Fans etc... I've tried......

AND     I will be in Louisville for the conf tourney....

Predictions for rest of the way:

Mac @ GC:  Mac stays in the fight:  Mac 76 GC 65

EC @ Prin  EC will not stumble here:  EC 84 Prin 62

FU @ Spalding:  FU is team of the future, playing well lately, but Spalding rights ship a bit after falling to WC (maybe): SU 77 FU 70

Prin @ WU:  Nope...WU 91  Prin 59

GC @ FU:  Battle of young teams, go with home team:  FU 65 GC 59

EC @ Mac:  For all the marbles?  Game of the year?  I have real concerns about EC winning this game on the road. Despite having the SLIAC's most dominant big man, EC has the most 3-pt attempts in the league with 500, while shooting a league 7th best 31.6% from beyond the arc.  In addition EC is 7th in FTs attempted, ahead of only Prin and BC.  Get the ball into the paint!!

Still, I think this is the most talented team in the conference and they'll find a way to get it done in a hostile environment:  EC 76 Mac 75

Prin @ WC:  WC resting...still doesn't matter:  WC 77 Prin 55

At least it is not the ghost town that is the UAA thread.  It is like Pripyat over there.

I am so mad I missed Webster-Fontbonne last night.  I have adopted Fontbonne as my second team this season and thoroughly enjoyed the first Webster-Fontbonne match-up.

Early on, you predicted that Fontbonne was going to compete for the SLIAC title in years to come.  Do you still think that today?
