Times are changing Denny... perhaps these guys are a bit more mature, a bit more professional than you give them credit for... If people settle for status quo, they'll get status quo.... I'd rather have something, even the smoke, rather than nothing, and right now I have next to nothing....

#1 is definitely a problem for some schools. #2 would seem to be true in most cases. #3 Hmmmmm, I don't know the coaches so.... #4 They can't completely fool each other, but most probably don't want to reveal too muc new information.

At least we will have a coaches poll fairly soon.

Hopefan - Please don't put words in my mouth, Sir. I did not call anyone inmature or unprofessional. Definitely none of these coaches I call "Friends". Your the one that comes on here and says you can't get an email returned. Somethings never change. SMH

To finish my discussion with, Yjak. Like I was saying those were just a few of my reasons for my opinion. This time of year with all the new faces on most rosters, I just don't think most of the coaches have enough time to evaluate their personell yet.

I was going to comment on that too... the opposite... unless the kid is involved with a fall sport, he's probably been in the gym every day since classes started... I would think the coaches have a pretty good thought on the pecking order at this stage.. but of course, things can change...

Hopefan, you need no help, but I am still out here lurking. Dennis is very predictable, he will come up with some perceived slight (like he has now), throw a pity party swearing off of this board forever as he rides off into the sunset in search of his next coaching job, until he shows back up on here a short time later under a different name that anyone with a brain can tell is him. I am looking forward to the season. Just ignore Dennis and keep on posting your insights. They are always welcome by me, anyway.

Wow. How you doing Red Head? You haven't been around for a year. I was hoping you were going to be our FU insider on the board now that I'm gone. I've been around. No job searching. And, still posting under my true name, unlike ......... What do you think we'll see out of the Griffins this year? I think it could be a break out year for Coach Schaefer and the boys.

And, Hopefan I was the one saying the DIII News AA may not of been the most informed. But, any recognition was good. I still don't think the coaches interest in more preseason news has anything to do with their maturity or professionalism. Again, Just my Opinion.
