Griffins need to win two this weekend to get confidence back.

Agreed Joe.... MSOE was voted 4th of 11 teams in the NACC, Edgewood 8th...  Playing vs this conference is always a good measure.. this is a conference that I think of as at the SLIAC's level... We need to beat these guys as a conference if we want to take any pride in what we are achieving in the betterment of our own conference.... I look at every game with the NACC and the MWC  as a real opportunity to show progress.  Unfortunately this year, it may be a little tougher....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

No.  I only found live stats on the WIU website--their video feed was pay per view.

Spalding thumped big by Wheaton... looks like Coach is giving a couple of the new faces in the program additional playing time...  once again, don't think a winless non conference record will be indicative of their play within the conference....

Well all we got to hang our hat on is another good GC win.

They need to at least be competitive. They are SLIAC's #1 team.

Good thing the small town Kid, Kody Ettinger, showed up. Could have been worst. Big Grant Tucker needs to put up something. To Big not to play. 6'8 needs to get in and mix it up.

Good game, Kody!

Regarding Joe's and Denny's comments...

Joe.. that's how I felt when I saw Fontbonne play Rhodes...they just weren't running the offense with purpose.... they're young...but darn, to lose to a team by 20 that is picked 8th in their league... today could be uglier vs MSOE..  uhoh.. no Blake Welch?

Speaking of Lost... Westminster is in the same boat.. Stop Joe James and Verdis Lee, keep the ball out of Brandon Moore's hands, and there's not much of anything else that can hurt you... that's 2 games in a row in the 40s

Greenville nice start.... though not the only SLIAC win yesterday... Mac wins its game by 50+ with cupcake StL Christian, and Iowa Wesleyan eekes one out over Faith Baptist... as Denny said, not much to hang our SLIAC hat on... Webster plays Dominican, the team that Greenville beat, today..will present a nice comparison... then they have Elmhurst on Tuesday, another nice comparison...

I watched Eureka-Rockford on the internet for awhile... frustrating because it wasn't being announced, so you didn't know who the players were.. Eureka got a lot of points from a tall kid who must have been Sam James....  team defense was pourous.. Rockford got SO Many hoops around the basket... Eureka was always down, but hung around within 8 or 9 the whole game...I would think they're still a legit contender for a conference tourney shot... Fontbonne however, may be falling off that list, they have to show something soon....

Here's an idea   Start two gaurds.   Put Degears on perimeter he will be a nightmare match up cause he is best outside shooter.    Post greenlee down low.  He scores almost everytime when he recieves the ball in the paint.  Dormhauer at the point.  Welch and Jackson at the two.   Then run in the other bigs. Tucker orkan and Guinn.  Mix it up with zone and man to man. I think this team would also be successful with a half court press especially with three bigs are in.  But hopefan,  you are correct. To lose to that team by 20 is not acceptable.  Coaches need to stop doing same thing cause it isn't working. I will say that kody is a heck of a player for being undersized.  But if kody scores that way every game it just means the rest of team isn't scoring.  Fontbonne needs to stop going one on one.  Hopefully the young guys will learn and hopefully the coaches will start changing it up cause at this moment it could be a long season.  GO FONTBONNE!!   Get the win today

Mr. Vegas - I'm baffled by your post. You want to start a kid at PG who is 3-21 fg and 2-15 from 3's? That's a one man zone. His defender just sags in the paint. Jackson didn't dress and No Welch (who is 0- season from 3's.) Who in that group is going to pick up Ettinger's 20 pts? He's only 13-23 62% and tied for most FTA's going 12-14. FU does not save a guard close to those numbers. We should be used to the one on one play. It's what we got all last year from PG.

I agree with DeGeere. Let him shoot every time he touches it. I would where Greenlee out in the low post. He would touch it till the Def. Proved they could stop him.

As for the other Bigs. Tucker has logged 21 mins. W/0 a reb and one basket. He isn't real physical. Quinn seems to be having an injury problem of some kind. Just saying cause of sporadic minutes. Watch for someone to emerge as a rebounder/defender, I hope. Ettinger is also second in rebounds.

Heck I say play Chandler and Kody @ the #1 and #2. of course these are just my opinions.
