I couldn't find it anywhere either and so that was when I asked you. But 20 minutes later I went to the National Pick Em League board, (which is why I wanted the score to post it there) and FCGrizzlies Grad had posted the score. I'll ask him where he got it.

Hard to watch that Washington fontbonne game.  Washington is a very well coached team. Very strange game by fontbonne. I know they are young but it looks like they just have no desire to play defense or run any type of offense except shoot threes.  Word is that there is a lot of internal fighting and bickering with fontbonne players and coaches.  Losing will do that to any team.  Hope they can do some soul searching to save some of the season.  They do have the talent to turn it around

Following the 87-50 victory by Wash-U, here are some quick thoughts:

I think that despite having 16 freshmen and sophomores on the roster, there is enough talent for Fontbonne to spring a mild upset or two in the rest of the SLIAC schedule.  But, before the Griffins resume conference play this Saturday at Spalding, I believe that some lineup combinations and rotations need to be etched in stone.

Bryan DeGeare, after averaging 16 ppg and 11 rpg in his previous 4 games, had only 2 points tonight and played only 8 minutes--2 minutes in the 2nd half.  He had two fouls in the first half, but only picked up one in the second half.  Three other starters (Kody Ettinger, Orkan Bakis, and Sumner Ahearn) had 10, 9, and 4 minutes of playing time.  Four reserves actually had 20+ of playing time:  Richard Dorhauer (2p, 4a, 4 to), Blake Welch (8p), Darius Rucker (12p, 3r), and Yada Demisse (3p).  Perhaps Coach Schaefer was trying to use tonight as an audition of sorts for the remainder of the SLIAC season, otherwise I would think that the substitution patterns wouldn't have been so seemingly random.

And, I was wondering why a 2-3 zone remained deployed throughout the game, when Wash-U was shredding it with a near-record performance from the 3-point arc.  The Bears were 10-16 in the first half, and ended up 15-28 for the game (54%).  Alan Aboona had 7 of those 3s on 7-8 shooting.  I guess it was "pick your poison"...but there was surprisingly little switching of defenses to try and throw the Bears out of their comfort zone.

Just my two cents...

JayBird - enjoyed your call of the game. Appreciate you mentioning the Name on the Court. Sir you do a very good job.

jaybird44

Thank you, Denny...your father's legacy deserves a court naming in his honor and subsequent mention in any broadcast.

Jaybird- I thought of Coach Edwards last nite. First time back. Coach Mark took very good care of my Brother, Sis and I at the Houston Final Four. In Dad's final days. FU v. WU is a rivalry with respect.

Didn't go... sick with a cold... gotta get in shape for conference games!!! ;D ;D ;D

I find Jaybird's comments interesting... regarding substitution... As much as I like Coach Shafer, he and staff seem to need to make some personnel decisions and stick with them...  auditions need to end.. I know who impresses me, but I'm not at practices....

One thing I did notice in box score... Dorhauer back... was afraid he might be gone....
