WUH, no one organizing a fan bus speaks to the lack of leadership, IMO. Instead of stepping up and putting something into action they let the next person worry about it.

I hope you're right, Denny, about the next AD. Webster needs a true visionary. Someone committed to raising the bar for the Webster athletic program. Someone who isn't status quo - who doesn't simply do something because "that's the way it's always been done."   Someone who will go to bat against the higher ups for a stronger investment and commitment.

Bunchtime - Was McClain's an on campus enterprise. On a good Saturday nite you could do a lot of Fundraising. Depending how folks were doing on the Keno Cards. Friend, we got those memories.

If we consider that fundraising, then I think I may be Webster's biggest booster!

Maybe Hopefan could share with us how RPI handled these issues. I know Yjak has spoke highly of RM. Randolph Macon school Prez put out a statement saying they were cutting tuition to help their families out in these times. Yjak care to comment?

COME ON, Man!!! Every time I saw you there, your hands didn't reach your pockets to be able to pay.

Denny McKinney

IWUmichanger - I've also seen some of IWU's packages. And, your welcome on Bryce Dolan. I saved him from the horrors of DII @ Maryville. But, your right.

My dad's credit card statements would respectfully disagree with you.   ;D. Though a certain bartender would give me the hookup!

Denny McKinney

Geez. It's a $1200 deal. If u have to pay anything? $600 bus and $600 in tix and food. How about them activity fees. They in student life spend that on a speaker and a Magician w/ monkey. It is a silly discussion from my view point.

Denny McKinney

I had some good times with the Boyz up there. I'm glad we were Hated Rivals.

Denny McKinney

Call your Buddy in Vegas. I bet we can get the Gorlok's + 37!!!!

BunchTime

I would love that number. Wonder what the real spread would be? Gorloks +18?

Denny McKinney

No Way. Did you see the common opponent stats? IWU beat Wash U by 25+. it's all computer now. At least get +27. Minium!!!!!

If I remember correctly, last year when R-MC had to travel for it's first and 2nd round NCAA games the school organized charter buses for anyone interested -- students, faculty, staff, family, people from town, anyone who wanted to go. Anyone who went had to pay, however. I think they planned some box lunches and suppers for the up and back trips which were part of the price. R-MC had to make three separate trips because last year they stretched out the tournament so the D3 final four could take place the same weekend as the D1 final for. They played a neutral site game against Stevens Institute at Lehman College in the Bronx because New Jersey schools weren't allowed to host -- something to do with gambling in NJ.
After they won that game they played the following weekend at WPI. After winning that game they played at Amherst the following weekend in the Sweet 16 and got clobbered. I'm pretty sure they organized charters for all those games, although I think at least one of them didn't actually happen because enough people didn't sign up. I'm sure lots of folks traveled on their own, however. Plus, all three of those trips were much longer than the trip from STL to IWU.
