Shameful. I'd be embarrassed to be a Titan right now. Handed the game.

The very definition of a poor loser.

I definitely tip my cap to Webster; they deserve better fans than you.

... and if Marian had been able to get off that final trey to beat UWSP, that would've been the biggest upset in D3 tournament history. Two amazing almost-weres that finished within a couple of minutes of each other.

No one gave little ol SLIAC Webster a chance and they have a chance to win the game at the buzzer but the refs call a foul.  Not to mention the call that put IWU to the line to go up 1.  Haha! What a clown show I witnessed. Massey IWU -22 be damned!

Cool story bro.

Tons of respect to Webster.  What a great game.   Sad to see either team lose that one.

You play the game to win, so I'm sure that the Gorloks are hanging their heads right now, their season done. But as a fan watching the game, I can't help but tip my cap to Webster. The Gorloks came back from 18 down in the second half to come within a whisker of pulling off the biggest upset in D3 tournament history. And I am not indulging in hyperbole by saying that; I've been following this tourney since the late '70s, and there's never been a bigger upset than this one would've been.

Greg, you know I respect you 100%... BUT... the addition of Hunter Ward, and Aaron Griffin coming back from an ankle injury lifted the Gorlocks to a new level of D3 credibility in the last 6 weeks... in my mind it would not have been as big of an upset to those of us who have been closely following the SLIAC as it would have appeared to the rest of the D3 world.....

How does it feel SLIAC. Hurts like Hell don't it. They were not going to let that building set empty tomorrow for the Big Game. Anyone please watch the last 1:08, tell me I'm wrong on what I saw take place. I think I saw some calls " saying I ain't gonna be the guy that called THE GAME for rest of MY LIFE. IWU has the nerve to cash it in up 18, like thanks for coming. That's not how Webster University plays. IWU, you played around and lost that game. Every where but the score board. And, Titan's Congrats on over coming a challenging first round game. Now wake up. Your still a -20 the last 2 games at Shirk.

Boyz Cinderella was in the House Tonite. And, she Danced her *** off. And she still got the slippers. Then she got slapped and found herself with a Pumpkin for the trouble. ;D ???

One correction to the broadcast. It is not alright to make that horrible call, because it made up for a call they missed. The 2 have zero to do with each other. Each play is a new call. Like each spin of the roullete table, has 0 to do with the last.

These Opinions are solely mine. And are only Opinions.

A tough game to watch. And, I will reserve time to de-compress. Before I decide what I just saw was good for DIII basketball.

Gorloks.  :D

Sorry, hopefan, I just can't agree with that at all. I'm as weary of the endless parade of self-congratulatory posts from IWU fans on CCIW Chat as anybody, but the fact remains that this year's Titans are a legitimate juggernaut with a valid shot at Salem. The SLIAC has been 0-fer in the D3 tourney ever since this league joined the division a decade and a half ago, and most of those losses weren't close. To garner the league's first-ever tourney victory against a team of '13-'14 IWU's caliber, on IWU's court ... that definitely would've been the all-timer as far as D3 tourney upsets go. Same deal with Marian if the Sabres had been able to knock down that last-second trey against UWSP up in cheeseland tonight.

Amen, Denny. The whole concept of a make-up call is stupid, and whenever I use that term on the air as a broadcaster I use it as a criticism of the refs. The IWU broadcasters, who did a really good job overall tonight, made a mistake in approving of the idea of a make-up call in that situation. They were wrong to do so. You're absolutely right that each play is a new call.

Alright, I've had my cooling off period. What an effort by Webster. Wow! We all know IWU is a great program...makes it sting that much more that the refs didn't even allow WU the opportunity to put the ball up. What a shame! Anyhow, great game, great atmosphere!  Hunter Ward, without question, was easily the best player on the floor tonight...and it's not even close! Again, so proud of Coach Bunch and his squad. Way to represent!  Now, time to drink my sorrows away.

hopefan

I guess what I'm saying Greg, is that if certain SLIAC fans looked at the matchups, looked at the perceived quality of Webster's team vs that of IWU's team and came away saying hey Webster can play with these guys, then it would not have been an upset in the minds of those SLIAC fans if Webster had come away with the win.... as compared to coming into the game acknowledging a 30 point defeat.... Quite honestly, Webster has as good of a starting 5, actually first 6, as I have seen in the SLIAC (or that at least matches Fontbonne's from several years ago)...to me their ultimate downfall was Miller and Edwards fouling out (wow, where did a couple of those against Miller come from?), which killed their rotation in the last 5 minutes... I credit IWU's depth for getting them the win....

another announcer quote... 'well it might be a good thing for Webster that Miller fouled out'...followed by some negative remark about how he had played....    GEESH
