Joevegas still here guys lol.    Sorry to hear about brian degeare leaving the program.  Hopefully Fu coach can do some magic in recruiting.  Did hear That Gentry was going back to finish out.   That is a big plus for FU and for the kid.

Joe Vegas.. Any word where Tucker and Guinness might be continuing their education... Do you think another site might work out for either of them?  Good Luck to both......

You know im not real sure. .  Heard he had some offers from some D2  schools in Calif  but not sure what he is doing.  Tucker back  in Vegas but have not heard anything.  There were some rumors that Schafer was trying to recruit guys from Fontbonne to come to his new school in Mesa.  Oh I did hear that the other big kid Nathan Riechart wasnt coming back either.   I am glad that the other Vegas kids Justice and Gentry are staying.  Going to be a tough season for FU this year. But maybe the new coaching change will re-energize the players that stayed.  They will be set at the guard position.

Hey Joe how is your summer? On the Vegas boys. From a FU player, "Tucker is coming back for sure." As for Quinn, Div II? Really? Really? No Way!

And now Gentry. I've seen this movie. I thought 10 wins. Make that 8, now.

Sorry Man. The guy can't shoot!

As of my June conversation with Coach, Yes..

Writer and old buddy 'Sac' from the MIAA room called attention to the site www.geomidpoint.com .... I used it to find the geographic midpoint of the SLIAC... surprisingly not in the SLIAC sticks or farmlands somewhere, but right on top of Carlinville, Illinois, home of Blackburn College.

It was just brought to my attention That my old favorite school, Hope College, will be matched up against Spalding in the first round of the Mose Hole Tourney at Wooster in late December... With the game not scheduled until December 29, Spalding Coach Kevin Gray will have plenty of time and games to figure out which sophs and frosh will work best with the several returning experienced players he has.  Wooster is a pretty good trip for me from St Louis (yikes, 540 miles), but this is only the second Hope-SLIAC match I can remember in the last dozen years... may have to consider it if it looks like a decent matchup.  Now, if buddies Sac and Flying Dutch Fan are making the trip from Holland, how can I resist?

Well good news for Hopefan. FU could play both Wash U. and IWU. Bad news for Hopefan. Both games would be in Cali. FU plays Wash U. in that special situation. Out, Play and Fly Back. Then a couple weeks later the Fly Back for a quick four teamer. FU plays Cal Lutheran and IWU plays a team tha slips my mind. It has Nazerath in it.

Bet Coach Hall wishes he had been able to make his own schedule. I know there is also a road game @ Augustana. FU needs to win a few games. It's been tough on their Jr. class.

Good Luck, Griffins.

Hopefan. You should be able to have some interesting coversations with Borgia product Evan Johnson. He is the one who decided to transfer back from Grinnell at mid season last year. He's been enrolled at FU for awhile. He's not Bryce Dolan. But a pretty good shooting teammate of Bryce's. And, desperately needed.

Good Luck Evan and the Griff's.

Well I tried giving a few basketball topics. Thought it might stir a few more comments then geography. I hope our senior statesmen is traveling and enjoying his retirement.

This is what's known as "The hopefan Dilemma". Perhaps it's not technically a dilemma in the true definition of the word, but you get my point. It's this: (1) Do I post something hoping to initiate a conversation, or do I not post it fearing that no conversation will ensue? Then: (2) If I post something and no one replies, do I make a second post expressing disappointment that no one has replied, and wonder why?

Yjak +1K. But, I thought these two were right up Hope's alley.  ???
