Now if Coach can just find a few new faces to replace those critical graduates 😄😄😄

When in New Hampshire....  Drove by d3's Keene State and New England College today... As well as Maine Presque Isle opponent NHIT (New Hampshire Institute of Technology)...

No surprise on the announcement from Fontbonne, let's hope Coach Thornhill can carry on the rejuvenation efforts that Coach Hall started last year...

Good thing you didn't drive past UMPI (known as um-pee up there)... or I would have officially known you were lost!

My trips "home" from Baltimore to Maine feel like a non-stop D3 trip. The number of schools I see on exit signs is unreal. Someday I am going to focus on counting how many I see on signs and how many I know I am passing.

As for UMPI... trust me... if you are up there, you are lost.

Tail end of the trip completed... among others, passed by Cobleskill, Alfred and Alfred State, Elmira, Keuka, Pitt-Bradford, Penn St Behrend, had a McChicken at the College of Wooster exit, Hiram, Wittenburg, Earlham, and I knew I was near home when I spied the prison off of 70 at Greenville...

Not long before Word on the Street reached me...
The two Fontbonne 3-2 students (Rucker and Welch) won't be playing for Fontbonne in 2015-16..
Fontbonne had a solid recruiting year, no defections expected with Coach Hall's resignation..
SPALDING, super recruiting class..
MacMurray, very good JC guard coming.. Deavis Johnson will return as a voted co-captain by his teammates.
Greenville, Webster, Eureka have no expected immediate help coming, yet... oops, did hear GC got a 6'6" JC player from California, not yet on their recruiting writeups...
Westminster, large numbers, but any help?
A kid I really liked, Chris J Davis, won't be back at Blackburn... (more obvious, Chris A Davis won't be back either)..
And this one cracks me up.. Greenville big man Nick Trisko is transferring to another SLIAC school... you'd never guess where unless you checked out his home town... Lexington, Ky.. Yes, Nick will be going to Spalding... lots of luck Coach Gray

Specific info is always appreciated, but SLIAC coaches are a pretty tight-lipped crew....

This season seems to be shaping up as last year did, with no clearcut dominant team ready to run away with only a couple of conference losses... unless Spalding's class is just that good.... Could Iowa Wesleyan be the dark horse candidate?  If Prin got one or two new players, could they challenge with an ironman five? Will new coaches at Fontbonne and BC have an immediate impact?  Will Deavis Johnson, my pre-preseason choice for conference MVP run roughshod thru the schedule?

You should have photographed the highway signs for all the D3 schools you were near -- the ones that say "_______ College Next Exit".  :D

I was also in New England for a conference and vacation and visited Simmons, Salem State, Emerson, UMass Boston and Babson before heading to New Hampshire, but with a two-year old in tow, I only managed to visit Keene in New Hampshire, otherwise, I would have visited Bates and Bowdoin and a few others.  I believe those are all Division III.

Schedules are beginning to pop up on Schools sites around D3... So far, Webster, Greenville and MacMurray schedules are posted...

Webster has  : Luther and Rust in the Cavalo Classic at Webster, 2 games in the  Cruisin' Classic in Fort Lauderdale, at Central (Iowa), Loras at home, and at Wash U

MacMurray has  :  3 tourneys.. the Cavallo with Webster against Rust and Luther,  The Illinois College Tipoff playing Dubuque and Illinois Tech; and the Rhodes Tourney playing Rhodes and either Aurora or Maryville (Tenn.).....  and a single game at Augustana

Greenville has their best schedule in a long time, finally playing D3 schools rather than several weak Christian schools or other non NCAA programs... They have : A tourney at Nebraska Wesleyan playing Central (Iowa) and Dubuque, the CCIW-SLIAC Challenge at Greenville playing Millikin and Elmhurst, at  Illinois Wesleyan, at Wabash, and home vs Lincoln Christian.  A very good schedule, but ouch, unless JC recruits come in, GC has no size to use against this schedule.

I also see Wash U is playing 4 SLIAC schools... Webster, Fontbonne, Spalding, and Blackburn....

Fontbonne's schedule  isn't posted yet, but I see them on several schedules that are posted... Rose-Hulman and either Illinois Wesleyan or Wilmington in the Illinois Wesleyan Tourney, Wash U., Augustana, and Concordia-Chicago... that leaves two games left.. wonder if there is another tourney?
