^^ A return to sanity. I've been worried about you.  :)

Happy Thanksgiving to All the Sliac regulars. I'm thankful for you all keeping me updated on the comings and goings of the conference.

This may have been discussed, but it is not exactly SLIAC basketball, so maybe not, but it looks like Lindenwood hired a former Webster coach to replace Brad Soderberg.

Coach Randall has UW-Stevens Point roots as well and was the head coach at Webster.  Apparently, he engineered the best turnaround in NCAA history according to the Lindenwood biography: http://www.lindenwoodlions.com/staff.aspx?staff=340

Randall is not a newcomer to the St. Louis area. In 1997, he was hired as the head coach of the Webster University Gorlocks. He took over a team that went 2-23 the year before he got there and then turned them into conference champions and NCAA contenders. He led the Gorlocks to the 1999-2000 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship. He became the winningest coach in Webster history and was twice named the SLIAC Coach of the Year, leading the program to the best turnaround in the NCAA in all divisions.

Actually, the Lindenwood bio is correct. As it stated, while he was the Gorloks mentor Randall engineered the best turnaround in the NCAA in one specific season, not in NCAA history. The turnaround stat is actually kept by the NCAA every year and is viewable on the ncaa.org site.

I wouldn't mention Randall on the WIAC page. There are some hard feelings among UWSP fans where he's concerned. According to them, he took some Pointers talent out the door with him to Florida when St. Leo hired him as head coach.

It's hard to dispute when two players were on UWSP one year and on St. Leo the next...

I just hope for Lindenwood and Lance's family, they're going to make more than just a stop of a couple of years.

His last four years at St. Leo were the longest he's stayed in one place in his professional career. And he didn't quite go out with a bang.

So Macmurray plays at Webster against Rust tomorrow followed by Webster playing Luther...
Mac and Webster switch opponents on Saturday

Let's pity the Rust team... they played Texas Tyler on Tuesday and Texas College yesterday both in Tyler, Texas... if they came home after the game, it was a 7 hour bus ride to Holly Mississippi, putting them home at 4:00 AM, .. hopefully Rust or Holly provided them with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal today, and they rise tomorrow morning for another bus ride, this time 5 hours, to get to Webster..
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

No need for the actually as nothing in my post runs contrary to the Lindenwood biography. #nitpick

Gregory probably used "actually" because you used "apparently." But I wholeheartedly endorse the use of hashtags in posts. :)

In looking at the post again Greg, are you saying there is an annual statistic for every season of play for the best turnaround around for that particular season and that is the claim being made by Lindenwood?

OK, my mistake.

I do not like the bio as it reads.

Otherwise, I am getting excited for Washington University vs. Spalding.

It is a shame that Louisville native Ray Spalding chose Louisville over Spalding (not that he was considering Spalding).  That would have been perfect on so many levels.

I don't think this one will be close.....I'm opting for the doubleheader at Webster...
