Watched the last 6-7 minutes of the second half on tiny phone screen. Westmin got a 16 or so point deficit down to around five, but couldn't complete the comeback. Can't remember the final score -- but around a 10 point difference. Couldn't tell much about either team.

I watched a little.. Jak Kitchens got a lot of time and obviously is in the plans...Westmin beat badly on the boards and have a poor shooting night... BUT, turn the ball over only 9 times, while creating 20 turnovers from Columbia... Carter and Kobe Wands both looked very good...one disappointing stat line was that of Romo Tabb, all conference 2 years ago but sat out last year.. nothing but 3 point attempts, 1 rebound..not the type of player he was in prior season.. hope he was just getting used to the pace last night...

Final Columbia College 82...Westmin 71

But who cares... TODAY the real stuff starts

Good luck to all of the SLIAC teams... particularly Iowa Wesleyan, playing with the thought of the end of the line possible approaching....

Shea Feehan comes "home" to play tonight.... not at Eureka, but with Evansville at the University of Illinois!!!  Hope all of Eureka travels down to see the Purple Aces!!!

Unfortunately, and hard to understand, the game is not on TV,... the Big 10 network is showing Northwestern vs New Orleans on all 4 channels I have access to.. must be some kind of cos consideration... :'(

ALL 4 opening night SLIAC games are available on the internet....

I'll be real interested to see who else scores for Principia besides Goodman and Micah Paulson.

Parker Davidson is now listed as a graduate assistant for both Principia basketball and baseball.  I did not realize that he played baseball as well.  Very impressive.

Wow.. I just noticed a critical miss on Prin roster... Soph Payton Sellers is GONE... this is the guy I would have expected to help with the scoring.. very good shooter, bothered by injury his freshman year... possibly a Parker Davidson level talent... where did he go.. this is a huge loss for Prin, and means they'll likely have to start two frosh, unless small guard Evan Eisenhouer is used, and if so, well let's say I feel he'd be overmatched most of the time....
To me, this is virtually a deathblow for Prin...

Here's a problem to consider... both Goodman and Paulson are very aggressive players... meaning sometimes... foul trouble... then what?

Even more impressive.  Respect to two sport athletes everywhere.  You are few and far between.

Great stats for the Gorloks -- won the boards and all shooting stats are excellent. Johnson with 26 and Tankins with 14. Can't see turnover and foul stats on my phone.
