But, to be fair, all we hear about is how deep Nebraska Wesleyan.

Webster does not have that depth NWU-level depth.

I looked up swagger in the dictionary and it had a picture of Josh Johnson.

Some old head fans might call it something else....

Nebraska Wesleyan 77
Webster 73

Heckuva game. Valiant effort by the Gorloks, who really impressed me. They just ran out of players at the end.

Having missed the last 2 weeks of the regular season, as well as the conference semis, I didn't feel it was my place to take part in prior conversation..

But with a big chuckle ;D ;D ;D, I will make this bold prediction.... as far as point spread goes, the Webster men will do better vs Nebraska Wesleyan than the Webster women will do against Depauw.... again,  ;D ;D ;D

Yep. Nebraska Wesleyan extended their zone and took away the three point opportunities that were there in the first half. Gorloks definitely missed Jordan Clay who would have really helped get inside that NWU zone as well as with rebounding.

Webster was going to need Enrique Tankins on the floor for more than 26 minutes to win in this game.

Rodson Etienne fouling out after 37 minutes of incredibly strong play...definitely did not help in those final possessions.

Ethan Hughes averaging 10 minutes a game, but has to play 29 tonight, played well though.

A three-pointer that would have tied the game with four seconds left...just a little too strong.

Tough loss for a great team.

If this ever happens again, we need a D3boards.com viewing party at Weber Bar and Grill.

^^^ Great observations. I like the viewing party idea,

Finally, what a great game by Webster. The coaches had them ready tonight. A super group of seniors. Congrats on all you've accomplished this sesson and in your careers.

SLIAC fans should listen to the Webster post game interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxbtDujB5Mc

Thanks for finding and sharing that. It's really informative to hear a coach talk at length about a game and a season. On my bucket list for a while has been a desire to spend a season just observing some team practice so I can better understand what is involved in developing a team, creating game plans for each opponent, etc.

WUPHF

Yeah, I had never heard Coach Bunch in an interview before. As hard as that loss must have been for the players, it seems clear that they are in good hands.

An for those not on Twitter, this is what it says:

"Dear Medical Professionals,

I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with everyone telling you how to do your job right now, or watch the media develop their own theories about a field they have no training or experience in. We feel your pain.
