Mac what kind of steps has MC taken in the case you do host. Will their still be no SID for the tourney. If MC plays on to the National Tournament, the NCAA will pul their hair out. The SID position is huge in this case. There is a ton of info required in a very short time.

MacAttack:" the team that scores the most points usually wins the game." and this coming from a guy who champions defensive effort.  :)  The team which scores the most points in A game is the team that always wins, but we all know this doesnt hold true when speaking of statistical data from a pool of games." Like you said stats only tell so much.  My problem with your stastical assumption is that you take these stats and construe the statement : "contribute the most - in conference play - from baseline to baseline".  The only thing one can truly draw from this "stat-based formula" is: here are the players that contribute the most based on these 13 catagories.  Any other conclusion is fallacy.  My problem lies in the the assumption of contribution Is it a matter of semantics? perhaps, but the meaning conveyed is decidely different.

I didn't put any player in any ranking. I just took the numbers as the were listed on the SLIAC website and ranked them, top to bottom, in the 13 categories. The players fell where the players fell. No need to take a swipe at the MC kids.

Daryl is right - the only assumption one can draw from this formula is a ranking of players who contribute the most across the board in the 13 categories the SLIAC has listed. No more and no less.

I'm big on defense - real big. That's why I have a problem with some of the league's leading scorers and rebounders who sometimes don't play hard at the other end and take plays off throughout the course of a game. Not my style.

In terms of the question concerning the MacMurray College SID position, I would suggest you contact the schools athletic director and ask him. He's a first class guy who I'm sure would be glad to talk to you about the situation. His name and contact information is listed on the college's website.

Mac no swipe. I've haven't been a big fan of stats for awhile now. I hate seeing H.S. players ask to see their stats. Basket ball is a team game.

A side note to WC v. WU game tonite. WC's Andrew Buxton returned to action on the 24th, logging 15 minutes. He did not appear in Pc game on the 27th.

MacMurray 50

Neil Compton has 22 points for macMurray, easily his best outing of the season. Coleman has 12. Whalum, Robertson, and Greene all relatively quiet. Clough has nine and Watts has seven for Principia. MacMurray needs to put this away and get ready for Westminster.

Webster breaks open a close game in the last 10 minutes - 51-50 at  its closest in 2nd half, then Webster just slowly pulled away.  Hoggatt dominated first half - 18 points and unstoppable.  In the 2nd, Westminster started doubling down on him, so Spinner and Hredlicka took over - both wound up with 15-17 points.  Westminster shot well from the perimeter, but a few too many turnovers, Davis missed several in close in the 2nd half.

Westminster still should challenge for that 4th spot - they play hard -

All the Fontbonne boys were there watching the game  - including White  -  a good sign.

Greenville beats Maryville,  72 - 70

The box is already up on the Greenville site
Maryville shoots  4-24 from 3 point land.

When something doesn't work for a team, things usually change -  Maryville entered the game shooting 28% from 3 point land  -  I cannot understand why this is such a focus on the team's offense

Jared McCoy didn't play ??

It's a huge win for Greenville - they're still in it -  couldn't reach Panther Pride tonite  -  Panther, you ok?
