What? You're not picking EC to beat out your Blue Jays for the last spot? I'm shocked and dismayed.   :o :(

OK not really.

ya the jays seem to be the long shot right now.  this season has been nothing but surprises tho, im just cheering for you to beat greenville...i think thats right

Mac Attack

Heck of a ballgame tonight in Carlinville. Mac wins another nailbiter. Robertson did not play. Whe you take 15 points, 8 rebounds, and terrific defense out of Mac's line-up, the margin for error is just about zero. Mac led by as many as 14-15 in the first half. Coleman, Whalum, Compton, and Greene led the way. Hammond and Allen were very quiet. I think Mac led by six or so at the break. Mac got beat down the floor several times, allowing the Beavers easy lay-ups - something Mac hasn't done all year long. Mac surged back to about a 10 point lead the second half, but defensive lapses allowed Blackburn to get right back in it. Lots of dribble penetration - looked like a lay-up drill. Some clutch shots by freshmen Adam Polston saved the day for the Highlanders, along with big-time free throws from Coleman, Long, and Whalum. Mac led by 4 when Allen hit a 3 pointer from long range with less than two seconds to play. Mac threw the ball down the floor and that was it. MacMurray's defense made several of Blackburn's players look like All Americans. Not a pretty site. Mac was fortunate to get out of Carlinville with a win - very fortunate. But without Robertson, and off nights from two or three other starters, I guess if you can win close ones on the road without your best effort, you thank your lucky stars. Terrific coaching job by Steve Hettinga tonight. He got everything he could out of every player, and it paid off. If he's not the SLIAC Coach of the Year, it would be a real shame. MacMurray also had a good number of fans at the game, especially students who really raised the roof. Mac is getting quite a student fan base, and I think they do a great job supporting the team. Maryville is next and they will be a handfull, especially if Robertson doesn't play. The Highlanders will be playing for a piece of the championship and the opportunity to hang a banner on the wall. Should be a good one.

It is a shame to hear about Robertson, I assume he sat out because he is still recovering from the hip injury, is this correct MacAttack?  Is there any word on how long this will keep him out? MC will definetly be hurting and hard pressed to contended with the upper tier teams without his presence on the court.  Hopefully he makes it back for the tourney.

First of all...  I have got no love for Greenville getting into the SLIAC tourney.  Remember, you have to come into Greenville and win.  Both Westminster and Eureka.  Greenville has faired well at home in SLIAC Play...

2006-7: 6-1
2005-6: 3-4
2004-5: 5-2
2003-4: 5-2
2002-3: 4-3

Not to mention, we are playing for a SLIAC Tourney spot.  You have to come into Greenville... both contenders and beat us at home.  No easy task.  Ask MacAttack and FCNews.  If Greenville wins Saturday... the game of the night Tuesday will be Greenville/Westminster.  Any D3posters attend, I will spring for pizza if enough of you come.  Let me know come the start of next week.

If someone would private message me with exactly what the yellow shirted FU student said. I will personally take it to the FU athletic administration. I'll see if he can be barred from attending anymore games this year. If it was that bad he deserves the punishment. Maybe we should just ban the FU, WU and MC student sections from attending the conference tournament. That way there won't be any chances of anyone being offended. That should make for lot's of room to get away from the remaining schools students.

Please message me with what the student said exactly. I know which one it was.

See what happens when you don't post after games. Random thoughts.

I think that the fan's in attendence were treated to a great game involving four all - conference players. Spinner and Hoggatt, Fogerty and White defenately gave us a show. And, if I'm not mistaken, both Corey Kuhn and Justin Storandt were all-conference last year. As a fan it was neat to see Nichoalds have that kind of game on such a big stage. I know the FU crowd enjoyed Levette's coming out party. He has 20-22 minutes in his immediate future.

Go Pride Go. if GC sweeps you have WU and Mac and GC in. If FU loses at MU. You have a 3 way tie at 11-7 correct. head to head FU swept WC was swept by EC (2-2). WC swept EC was swept by FU (2-2), EC swept FU and was swept by WC (2-2).

So then is score differential to decide which two have the playoff.
